Follow in the footsteps of St. Ignatius of Loyola on a private day trip from Barcelona, with hotel pick-up, a private guide and vehicle.
In March 1522, on his way to the Holy Land, Ignatius kept a night-long vigil before La Moreneta, the Black Madonna of Montserrat. There, he laid down his sword and noble garments for a pilgrim’s tunic and set out as a beggar towards Manresa.
Your journey begins where his did: at Montserrat, you will visit the basilica and see La Moreneta. Then you will follow his path to Manresa, where he spent nearly a year he later described as the most transcendental months of his life. Here, you will discover the Cave of St. Ignatius and the Gothic Basilica of La Seu.
