The Medes Islands is a small archipelago, located in the Mediterranean Sea, one mile of the Montgrí Coast and l’Estartit. The archipelago is formed by seven little islands and reefs which are home to an underwater site of extraordinary biological and ecological value. In 2010, The Medes Islands was declared as Protected National Nature Park and its ecosystem has been classified as the best Marine Reserve in the Western Mediterranean.
