Declared a Natural Park in 1987, Montserrat rises to over 1,200 metres. Its rounded rock towers were shaped from ancient river sediments over millions of years. With your guide, take an easy walk of around 30 minutes to a viewpoint over the peaks and the valleys below, or choose another way to enjoy the mountain, depending on your interests.

4Abadia de Montserrat
Visit the basilica of the Benedictine monastery and see La Moreneta, the 12th-century Romanesque carving of the Virgin, patron saint of Catalonia. According to legend, shepherd children found the image in a mountain cave in the year 880, and the place soon became a destination for pilgrims from all over Europe.
