The Jiankou Great Wall, located about 70 kilometers northeast of Beijing, is one of the most dramatic and picturesque sections of the Great Wall. Built during the Ming Dynasty, it is famous for its steep mountains, sharp ridges, and crumbling yet majestic watchtowers. Unlike restored sections such as Mutianyu or Badaling, Jiankou remains largely wild and unrestored, making it a favorite for adventurous hikers and photographers seeking stunning, rugged scenery.

    Mutianyu Great Wall

The Mutianyu Great Wall, located about 70 kilometers northeast of Beijing, is one of the best-preserved and most popular sections of the Great Wall of China. Originally built in the Northern Qi Dynasty and later rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty, Mutianyu is renowned for its grand watchtowers, solid construction, and stunning natural scenery. Surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills, it offers a less crowded and more family-friendly experience compared with Badaling. Visitors can enjoy walking along its restored walls, taking a cable car or chairlift up, and even riding a toboggan slide down(Pay extra in cash:CNY100/pp), making it a perfect mix of history, culture, and fun. Meet driver at Mutianyu Great Wall, and then take you back to your hotel.
