If you are looking for a dream beach location with great amenities and friendly staff, look no further. We had a wonderful, restful time at Pearl. You feel really privileged to be there.
A truly great place with nice and friendly staff and lots of opportunity for relaxing, swimming and some adventure. However, though the beach and hotel area was impeccable, short walks away from the resort revealed tonnes of plastic and a clear environmental problem. The resort should take some of the responsibility and keep rhe entire resort area nice and tidy. Teach the staff to be proud of clean nature and to take pride in becoming part of the solution. This is an island problem for sure. You have this pearl of an island turning into a trash island. Tourists need to step up too and take responsibility!!
Pearl Beach Resort is a peaceful paradise on Koh Rong. Clean, calm, and beautifully surrounded by nature, it offers a stunning beach and excellent service. Perfect for a relaxing getaway!
Wow! The resort is absolutely stunning, staff is super friendly and the food was freaking good!! Would absolutely recommend this resort.
Nice property that is in need of many repairs. Pool tiles gone and not replaced. Ditto for decking. Ditto for pool and beach gear (Masks, snorkels etc) in need of replacement. Lovely villa and it was spotless. By far the best improvement would be the meals which were far below average. We took across the bay to eat at the high beach as the Pearl needs both better quality and decent food. Coming from Phenom Penh and Seam Reap which had amazing food and options we were disappointed.
Truly relaxing stay at Pearl Beach. This is a great hotel and we sprang for an ocean view villa. The standard rooms are nice but the ocean view is bigger and nicer. Hotel has its own beach and the staff are lovely. Just remember to put the clean room sign out daily. You'll need to do this to at least get more drinkable water and toiletries. Food was good especially the asian options. We did a trek with Chiwon around the island which was good fun and great to get some exercise.
Room cleanliness was great, but would suggest they wash the outside of the ocean view windows more frequently. Its a minor quibble really.
On our visit to Angkor Wat, our tour guide told us that by climbing the the higher levels we would reach Heaven. Turns out that was Pebble Resort in Koh Ron Samloem.
The resort is gorgeous, with a beautiful beach, clear and mostly warm water (obviously weather helps!) and the bungalow we had was stunning, set as if in the jungle of the island. The cocktails were fantastic (though we twice drank them out of mint for mojitos!) and the food was excellent. The vibe is very chilled, and you are very clearly away from the more bustling side of the island. Beware that the ferry across doesn't offer it on their website, but it is generally the stop after Saracen Bay, and they need to know to stop there!
We only stayed for one night, but it was enough to seal this place in our top 3 hotels we've ever stayed at.
The property we were allocated was not as pictured on the website
We were presented the beachside photo - our apartment was up the hill
Otherwise enjoyable and will return
Overall we had a good stay. Food was good, if sometimes a bit unusual. It was the beginning of the season and the hotel was pretty empty. Even so we had to push hard for a room upgrade (being one key premium and there being plenty of rooms available), it was not offered freely. The service was all smiles but not very slick, put this down to it being start of season. Also pool was a bit green, making us not want to go in it, we mentioned this but got a shrug of the shoulders from the manager. Hotel has a great outlook though, so hopefully they get their act together for the peak season.
Amazing location and great place to stay. The staff were incredibly helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed it and with a few minor changes would be an excellent place and highly recommend to everyone. The only minor squiggles where the fact the pool was out of action for one of our two main days we were there which was disappointing, noisy building work going on right by the pool area when you’re trying to relax and the fact they charge high prices without really providing the expected service to match.
If you're looking for a stay that isn't your typical hotel room style, this is the place. Because the room is its own separate building, you get to have the freedom to make as much noise as you like without worrying about the neighbors complaints. And it's uniquely designed - pretty awesome looking.
I booked my stay after the New Year and so the resort was completely quiet and serene. Perhaps also because it's a more secluded resort, away from the party area. Staff were great, and food was delicious. No complaints here. I would definitely stay here again.
What a fantastic place to stay
The rooms, views, beach, food, drink, staff all fantastic
A must stay if you have the chance
Stayed here for 3 nights in the beginning of January. Grabbed a ocean view bungalow really close the the beach and pool. Really nice staff and managers... the property caters to adults (not so much to the full moon party crowd or to the $15 a night “lads holiday” seekers.) well maintained with really nice food. A couple of things to note: 1 -Sihanoukville is a gong shows... exact opposite of relaxing. 2 - the last ferry going to Saracen beach is at 5pm... don’t use the Buva sea ferry... complete gong show with that company, dropped us off at the wrong beach. We stayed in bungalow 4.Make sure you say hi to the stripey cat and her little ginger kitten! Made the trip for us!
Private beach and SOOO relaxing. The water and beaches were so clean and the free kayaking was great! Free breakfast!
The staff were just amazing. I’m gluten intolerant so the made food specially for me. We had a very early boat to go back to the main land so the cook got up early to make breakfast for us. And the list goes on. The location is beautiful and very quite tucked away in the jungle
Such a magical place. Our visit to the Pearl was the pinnacle of our 3 week Cambodian adventure. The staff was like family by the end of the week. Thank you and we hope that all the cool nice people go see them, they won't regret it.
The fact that the resort is secluded makes it even more attractive because this way you have more privacy; and the resort provides free boat rides 3 times a day to the main Saracen Bay. The resort is brand new and the staff really makes you fell special. You can find details in my travel blog (Travel with Anda dot com).
Highly recommend this place, the manager Roz is very helpful. Don't get your hopes up for snorkeling though.
great pool and staff, brand new best on island good food, private
