Peaceful haven in the heart of the old town
Pros:

Pretty rooms with A/C and heating, most of them with balcony, beautifully arranged around a central courtyard with swimming pool in a completely renovated centuries old residence in the heart of the old town. In the middle of restaurants, cafes and shops and yet an oasis of peace (at least when I was there) as soon as you step in. Friendly welcome by the always cheerful Katerina (daughter of the owner of the house).

Cons:

Satisfactory breakfast buffet, but real orange juice and coffee would be nice, as well as either eggs to order or a microwave oven to heat them up: nobody likes cold omelette in the morning... 😉

Pros:

Location was perfect in the hearth of the Old City . Exactly what I planned. Breakfast was good. The place could not be more cozy and the staff more pleasant. The pool was a nice surprise. Hotel highly recommended

Beautifully restored period hotel, welcoming owners in a great location but tucked away from the crowds of old town Reth
Pros:

Lovingly restored 14th Century former travellers inn, family owned and run by a father and daughter team. Both were always welcoming and took time to chat or give advice on sights and tours. Right in the heart of the Old City, but whisper quiet. The beautiful courtyard pool was used every day…sparkly clean and always refreshing. Lovely balconies and private lounges to escape the sun. Other guests were all very friendly…In fact as a solo traveller it was lovely that someone wished me ‘hello’ or ‘goodnight’ every time I came ‘home’. Loved it so much, I booked for one night and ended up staying 5… and will definitely return.
