Central and convenient location, basic yet cute rooms in clean and attractive building with shared restrooms/showers, and freindly and helpful staff.
Walls are thin so you do hear everything...
Comfortable bed, nice chair and table for trading and laptop use in the room. Full shared kitchen with refrigerator space for guests. Shared bathrooms and showers are convenient and very clean.
Street noise, drafty windows, but baseboard heater keeps the room comfortable.
Very warm and friendly vibe among staff and between guests. Very clean - I appreciated that floors were clean all the way deep into the corners.
Could have used a ceiling fan in the room on the hot nights, and an exhaust in the shower room to pull out the steam.
I love the historic feel, super pretty!
Parking was hard and having no shades on the windows made the light coming in hard to sleep.
Phenomenal location. Beautiful room. Nice amenities.
No TV in room. Charge for parking.
Location is great. Walking to most places is easy! Staff was exceptional. So welcoming and friendly, and check in/out was super quick and smooth. The bed was insanely comfortable and the robes were soft! The building is secure (front doors are locked at 11pm) and you need a key to get in. The whole building was quiet and clean.
There wasn't hot water for the shower, it didn't get above room temperature. (Partially our fault) but we accidentally stayed on trash night. They are single pane windows, so there's no noise buffer. You'll hear LOUD crashes and bangs for at least an hour in the middle of the night on Sunday nights. They do provide earplugs, though, for free!
This place is so beautiful! They did a great job renovating! We stayed on the top floor and our views were incredible! The staff was super friendly and check in and out were so easy! I just LOVE Astoria !
Absolutely enjoyed our brief stay at the Norblad . The location is perfect ;the staff super friendly and helpful; amenities are great and the place is spotless!!! Highly recommend!!!
Nicely curated suite supplied with all the basic necessities for a relaxing weekend.
Perfect location, walking distance to shops, restaurants and the waterfront. Rooms are well appointed and spacious. Love the mid century modern design. Incredible bargain and great place for Astoria get away. Highly recommend
I love the Norblad. I've been here half a dozen times. I love to do a staycation coming from nearby Portland area. I collect Vinyl so it's just my kind of place. Norblad has some portable record players for loan. Not always available but this week, I got lucky with a purple one. I listened to a Rollingstones Album as soon as I got to my room. The other albums were of more Classic Rock, Jazz, and Classical music. It's close to my favorite Cioppino place, Hurricane Rons the boardwalk, and Fort George Brewery. The staff are always friendly. Norblad is budget friendly and always clean and comfy. It's the place to stay in Astoria.
