Do not come with expectation of having hot water
Pros:

Central location

Cons:

Apparently guests should not have expectation of hot water availability. There was no hot water the morning and staff could not help us saying that building is old and rooms compete for limited amount of water. We were getting late for event so we had to urgently heat water in the kettle in order to get some sort of a shower (see image)

BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!!!
Pros:

Wow-- this was the best first-time experience I could've asked for! This hotel is the best bang for your buck, bar none. Location is within walking distance to all of the local businesses, food, and the water. And the street parking was so easy!
The staff was welcoming and helpful, the room was pristine, the towels and robes were so soft and the bed felt like a marshmallow. My wife and I slept so well. We stayed in the apartment that was in the historic building across the street. It was our first time in Astoria and we will definitely be back!

Great location
Pros:

Great decor, layout and location. Comfortable bed with great views.

Cons:

We could only crack open 1 window. Without AC, the room was hot and stuffy. The kitchen doesn’t have the basics needed for cooking, ie knives, cutting board, etc.

Pros:

Great location. Enjoyed the historic nature of the building The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Note however, we were in the suite so we had a private bathroom. We wouldn’t stay if we had to share. Just sayin.

Great location for exploring on foot
Pros:

A great stay in Astoria, very comfortable room and lovely reception, very helpful. On street parking was simple. The perfect location to explore Astoria on foot. We walked all over and had a brilliant time. We stayed in king suite A which was great but it was very noisy as the door opened right to the reception, and not everyone respected quiet hours. They did provide earplugs, which was helpful. Sisu brewery was a great spot for food and drinks and had table service, vs the Fort George across the street which was very busy on a Sunday evening. Would stay again for sure but would look to stay in a room further away from reception.

Very deceptive advertisement in the listing!
Pros:

The pictures on the travel platform are totally deceptive. There is no bay view as the picture suggested. The kitchen does not have tables or chairs as shown in pictures. The room is tiny and not appealing as opposed to the large, beautiful rooms shown in the website. Basically the pictures show a beautiful, elegant, even a bit luxurious hotel, expect the amenities of a two star hotel which you have to share two bathrooms with the entire hotel guests and absolutely no view other than the AC of another building.

The hotel lobby is on the second floor of a shop. So we have to carry our luggage up the narrow stair case just to the lobby.

When we first got the key, the door handle just came out of the hole when I tried to close the door because a screw was missing inside the door handle. We had to change room.

Totally disappointed at the hotel's deceptive advertisement!

Cons:

Show accurate pictures and mention that there is no elevator to any room or the lobby. And state there is no view whatsoever. And there are only two bathrooms for all guests to share.

Very disappointed!
Cons:

I did not know there was no elevator, no screens on the windows and no television. We didn't stay there and booked a room somewhere else. I went by other reviews and felt misled.

Like I said, it was fine for me but my wife would have hated it.
Pros:

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly.

Cons:

If you are motion limited, the stairs will not like you. No elevator. It was fine for me but my wife would have hated it. There is limited parking, so you have to park some distance from the hotel at times. It is an older hotel, the floors are wooden and creek at every step. Some rooms are listed as cabins and have a community shower and toilets. Probably like a hostel.

A super cute vintage building but because of that the sound insulation is poor quality
Pros:

The rooms are nice. The showers are simple and easy to use. The records for use are fun !

Cons:

I could hear someone snoring very loudly in one of the rooms I had to wear earphones with white noise playing to block it out

Fantastic place hopefully will return one day ❤️
Pros:

Great location right in the heart of Astoria. Rooms were clean and the bathroom facilities were also. All of the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Sarah- Ann and Tara. Who always answered our questions and gave advice

Cons:

Can’t really fault it but if I had to pick one it would be that there was no lift at the entrance so you have to carry your cases up some stairs to get to reception but it did not spoil our stay one bit.
