We have arrived at the hotel and Sam has greeted us. We have been told that we can’t park outside the hotel as some other guests have reserved it. And been guided and directed to go and park somewhere else, that was a bit stressful as we had plenty of luggage.
Once we entered the hotel we noticed how cold it was inside. When we took the stairs to our room we noticed how dirty it was all over, the floors, the tables etc.
Our room was freezing cold, looked smaller than on the photos. We were disappointed straight away. We’ve been told that they might turn on the central heating but they haven’t. No towel rail in the bathroom, was freezing.
The carpet and the furniture was not in a nice neat condition, dirty, with marks all over.
It was not worth to pay so much money for such low standards. Only the view was lovely, thanks to the water and the beach.
We were extremely disappointed with the whole hotel experience. Will not book here again. I do not recommend this place.
Lovely décor, spotlessly clean. Beautiful sea view room with balcony. Staff go above and beyond to help. my only downside was the bar and restaurant not open. But breakfast was very good (extra charge)
Friendly, welcoming staff. Clean, well serviced rooms. Breakfast to die for! Parking can be limited, but we had prepaid for a space. Really nice 5 night stay.
We have stayed here before and would stay again, it’s a fair price, more than just clean and tidy room (see more below), in a central location for exploring locally or getting in and out by car, and it has parking. This time we stayed in a room with a sea view balcony, which had a lovely view and was clean, tidy and comfortable but with a modern and homey feel. There was a spare radiator and fan in the room in case of weather change which was a comfort nice to have the choice in our hands. The breakfasts were excellent! My fave was the smashed avo & poached with sourdough toast, closely followed in equal second place by the yoghurt with berries and buckwheat pancakes with bacon & maple syrup! The front of house staff were unfailingly helpful but were a little stretched so not always to be immediately found but possibly this is as we stayed out of season. Two things to give as a heads-up. First, whilst it’s clearly stated in the room, in case you don’t read it immediately like us and as this approach changed since our fist stay there last year, until you ask for cleaning services /fresh towels for your room, you will not get these. Second, and we stayed at the end of Sept/early Oct, and we don’t drink anyway, but in case it’s important to you, the bar was not open during this time. However, there are several bars & cafes within a minute or two’s walk. To end on a good note, the allocated parking was very useful and, at a charge of £10 a day, quite reasonable, in my view.
I didn't stay
I had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances
Stunning beach view.
Lovely helpful, friendly staff. So close to the beach. It was amazing. Loved the breakfast. Delicious 😋
Great location!
Comfortable & compact single room.
Fab shower and wonderful large bath towel!
Staff were welcoming & helpful.
The room could be improved by the addition of a bedside lamp but otherwise everything was great!
Our room was a garden view, which could be redone!
The room was very clean
Very convenient to beach and quite a few dining options.
Great staff
Breakfast was very good
You are greeted by someone who can barely speak English who never offered the so called "complimentry tea/coffee."
The narrow stairs to the rooms do not suit those with mobility issues. The carpet has all rufffled up causing a trip hazard, the fact that its so dirty and stained is another issue on it's own.
The room was sooooooo tiny! There is instant coffee/tea and a kettle but every half descent hotels I have stayed in has a Tassimo or Nespresso machine, its 2025 F.G.S. The bathroom that was not suitable if you had to sit on the loo, it was cramped.
Clean towels only issued on Day 1.
The doubling glazing is pointless as you hear EVERY vehicle going up and down the road.
It says there is Room Service.... when the room has no phone and the restaurant only open for breakfast, how you request any kind of room service was never explained to us.
The "Free parking is a joke, cars are cramped in like sardines and if your vehicle is a larger size, it's a struggle to get into, even worse getting out.
The ONE and ONLY saving grace this hotel has, is the Lovely lady who serves the tables for breakfast, her superb customer service skills are so good, she should to be the manager!
Wonderful lovely helpful staff, rooms spotless and breakfast superb. Will definitely stay again.
Comfy Bed. Good Shower. No Complaints
The room been clean enough but so tiny. Outside of the room stairs etc were so dirty, not very nice.
The hotel was very modern and the rooms were lovely.
Breakfast was really nice. The staff were really friendly
The hotel was within a 20minute walk to the town and had some shops near.
Service was poor no room change,so no new towels tea coffee milk toilet rolls when asked was told by the manager that we had to let reception know, even know we put the door sign stating make up the room, will not be going back
I did not have an ocean view and the room was quite small. The mattress was too worn and soft. Also there were stains on the carpet. The staff were very friendly and responded immediately to questions. Housekeeping was thorough although sometimes leaving the "make my room" notice on the door did not work.
Room was much smaller than photos appeared and had limited amenities for example only one body wash/shampoo/handwash that you had to move between the sink and shower. The bathroom also had dirty cotton pads by the shower. Team did not respond to my request to secure parking and overall felt I would have been more comfortable at the premier inn next door.
The first floor was very rundown with grubby warn and dangerous carpet in the corridors. Room 15 had a mini wash basin with only a cold water tap. Room 1 had a tiny wash trough as part of the cistern. Both rooms had lumpy beds. Very basic and not worth the money. Would not recommend.
