Pros:

Excellent hotel. I did not look carefully at the map and I chose hotel in outlying area. However, dining, sightseeing locations, shopping and banking were all close by. Subway and DiDi made central city access very easy. Great hotel choice.

Good living experience. The driver did send me to a different Holidayinn express 800m away when the exact address was used in GPS. While trying to find out why they don't have my reservation, another family arrived at front desk with wrong address too.

This was one of the best experiences I've ever had at a property, and I have stayed at many properties over the years:
1 - Lisa and her fellow staff members were very professional and helpful. Before I even booked, they assisted me in English and answered all my questions thoroughly. As a result, I made the booking.
2- Upon arriving, I immediately felt at home. Check-in was simple and fast. Everyone was smiling and attentive, and they offered me a choice of beverage.
3- My room was wonderful: spotless and spacious. Getting in touch with the front desk was also easy. Just a simple dial and an English-speaking staff member assisting me immediately.
4- Breakfast was buffet style, complimentary, with both delicious Chinese and Western cuisine. Restaurant staff also spoke some English and were attentive. Good ambience. I was also told that the restaurant also had dinner hours.
5- Later in the night, Lisa assisted me with information about the area. I chose to stay and enjoy some rest.
6- I have since asked for information regarding the brand of the bed and pillows because it has been over 12 years since I have enjoyed sleeping in such a comfortable bed. Felt like I was sleeping on clouds.

Newly opened hotel
Pros:

Located in a redesigned industrial area close to the Olympic committee. Modern style building perfectly fit the surroundings. Grounds and facilities are all brand new and fresh looking. The thoughtfully designed room will get you everything you need for a quality rest.

Front desk staff tried their best to help me out whenever I asked for help.

Buffet breakfast included in the room rate was alright to start a day with, including fresh fruit, vegetables, a range of pastry, eggs cooked to your taste, freshly brewed coffee or tea, cereals with different fillings etc.

It was a pleasure to stay there and I hope to have another chance to explore that former industrial area.
