The room was large. The shower was nice. There was ice available from an ice machine. It was near the elevator.
We only had housekeeping service one of the 3 days!! The lighting other than the bathroomw was HORRIBLE! We had to use the flashlight from our phones. The refrigerater blinked off and on continually. Upstairs view area was closed for renovation so no fire works! The consierge service was a joke. The breakfast and selections were limite4d and marginal. The price for the value was obscene.
The room was clean, shower was good, views were great as we had a corner room facing Downtown and South Boston. Bed was very comfy, wish it was my own bed at home (and I dont say that lightly!)
Breakfast was very basic, thats the only thing I can say was a negative.
Room was clean and spacious with a good sized bed. Staff were helpful and friendly. There is a small seating area at reception which is pleasantly cool.
The free breakfast is poor. Weak coffee processed cheese slices and ham and powdery scrambled eggs. Again friendly staff but poor quality good.
Our room outlets were all out except for the beside ones. We felt like we were in the dark the whole time. The lamps were too large and heavy to move two large to a plug that worked. It was the one in the bedroom and living room. We wanted to check out the rooftop, but it was locked every time we would try, no matter what time. I normally would not complain, but I was disappointed and regretted that I had canceled my Hyatt reservation to stay here.
The breakfast staff were sweet, and the morning staff member, when I checked out, was wonderful and kind.
Lovely staff, convenient part of Seaport
Nothing negative to say
I liked the World Cup theme you made.
I didn’t like the fact that the staff members in the lobby looked cold in the cardigans due to the air conditioning. You should think about creating a uniform jacket. In the UK there are jacket uniforms.
Room clean but small
Breakfast was very poor , and for the cost of the room was very poor
Great location, good sized room, comfortable beds.
Plastic cutlery and paper plates at breakfast.
Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Breakfast was a nice option, but limited choices.
Clean lovely hotel well positioned for Boston seaport area ...close to transport for us
Breakfast could have had more choice
Good location easy to get to. The room was good. A little small but well equipped and comfortable.
Excellent and well equipped gym
Breakfast could do with more variety.
Clean rooms, friendly staff and great valet. We will be back again.
I stayed at the Cambria Hotel for one night after a whirlwind tour of New England, visiting Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
Upon arrival, I immediately noticed how small the valet area was—it looked like it could accommodate only about two to four vehicles at a time. I parked there while checking in, and the front desk clerk, who was the only employee at the desk, was prompt, welcoming, and efficient. She quickly contacted valet to park my car.
Valet parking costs approximately $61 for 24 hours, although it does include in-and-out privileges. While I found the price quite steep, the alternative was self-parking several blocks away in a garage, and after a long day of traveling, convenience won out.
The hotel lobby was attractive, modern, and well-maintained, which gave me a good first impression. My room on the seventh floor continued that modern and chic aesthetic. The view overlooked a nearby condominium building, and I could easily see residents unwinding after work—I'm sure they could see into my room as well.
The room itself was comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The bed provided a great night's sleep, and I appreciated the amenities, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, and lotion. The room also featured a coffee maker and a mini wine fridge, which was a nice touch. The shower was excellent, and the air conditioning worked well throughout the night. The blackout shades were particularly effective, making the room completely dark for sleeping.
The television offered satellite channels, though the selection was somewhat limited. Wi-Fi access was simple and convenient, requiring only a login with no password.
Breakfast was included, but unfortunately, it was the weakest part of my stay. The continental breakfast lacked variety and flavor. The oatmeal was overly thick and gooey, the bread was dry, and the eggs were bland. The yogurt was decent, but there weren't many options available. They had apples but no bananas. At least the tea and honey were enjoyable.
One feature I appreciated was the small market located next to the registration desk for snacks and essentials. More importantly, the staff throughout my stay were cordial, friendly, and accommodating. They kindly stored my luggage after checkout while I spent a few more hours exploring Boston.
The hotel's location is another strong point, with numerous restaurants and eateries nearby, as well as a Circle K convenience store within walking distance.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay. While the expensive valet parking and underwhelming breakfast prevented it from earning a perfect score, the comfortable room, friendly staff, modern design, and convenient location made for a very good experience.
