Perfektes langes Familien-Ski-Wochende

Hotel liegt direkt an der Piste, perfekt! Zudem ist es toll, dass es Apartments mit Küche gibt und man trotzdem alle Hotel Vorteile wie Frühstück genießt.

Schönes Ski Wochenende im Stockinggut
Pros:

Sehr schönes Hotel. Super Zimmer. Tolles Frühstück. Nettes Personal. Direkter Zugang zur Piste. Wir hatten somit einen tollen Aufenthalt.

A gorgeous hotel with incredible food & wonderful staff - we truly loved our stay!
Pros:

The hotel was gorgeous throughout, so comfortable & we had a stunning view of the slopes from our balcony which we loved. The food was incredible & the staff were so attentive - a special thank you to Zoltan & Sandra who really looked after us. Highly, highly recommended the half board option although it was a shame the nightly specials option stopped two nights in as we loved this. The dinner dress code was more casual than we expected.

There's very little within walking distance but it was about a 15/20 minute walk to the bottom of the gondola & the ski buses were easy to get from there (note - there isn't one to the Hinterglen area). The heated ski lockers were absolutely fabulous & the ski in/ski out location was so convenient - the only thing we did find was the route you have to ski back down to return to the hotel is a very popular one & it became mogul central quite early on in the day so not the nicest ski back.

My partner loved the sauna (even if we hadn't quite realised the textile free Austrian culture initially!). A hot tub would have been a much loved addition to this lovely wellness area.

Cons:

Some matting at the top of the stairs to the ski slope would have been hugely appreciated as this was very icy & we both nearly fell on several occasions!

The soundproofing on the interconnecting door in our room was unfortunately very poor, this did bother us quite a bit on our final two nights. A small thing, but we would have really appreciated the room being hoovered once or twice in the week.

Great staff, great location next to the ski slope, good food.

Cons:

We ended up in a room on the ground floor with a view of the parking lot and parked cars. That was quite a disappointment, and I didn’t feel like I was getting value for my money. I don’t understand why a hotel like this has rooms on the ground floor in the first place. At the very least, they should make sure guests know they are booking a ground-floor room and offer a discount for it. Also, both the wellness area and the ski room are quite small, so it’s not a very pleasant experience during busy hours.
