Food and restaurant
I can not praise the receptionist Tom Pentney enough for all his help. The room I was first allocated had a fault with the lock on the door. Tom came to my rescue and was able to keep me calm while him and the Maintenance Worker got me out. Tom could see I was still nervous so went the extra mile and gave me another room.
Meals in the bar were not good.
On my first night I ordered the Shepherd Pie from the menu, the mince was one step away from being a curry, and the cheese on the top was tasteless.
The next night I ordered Scampi, on ordering I was told I had to take my meal to my room.
Breakfast - the bacon was over cooked on the first morning, rather than cut it I had to pull it apart, but the second morning the cook had gotten this perfect.
It was good value for money and very comfortable .
The free WiFi went off around 9pm . That was a let down .
Easy and enjoyable stay
Rooms where very comfortable
