Stayed one night while a/c down.
Great location & professional staff. Very clean rooms & comfy & soft beds. Appreciated it being dog friendly.
Cute vintage style and very clean comfortable rooms. Wonderful front desk and valet team. Great managers when we needed to troubleshoot certain things that didn’t go well during our stay.
I wasn’t aware this was a bit of a party spot. Many guests were smoking cigars in the courtyard and it was a pretty rowdy crowd on Friday and Saturday night. There was a bit of a disconnect between the upscale marketing and the actual reality of our stay.
After a vacation full of mishaps the likes of the movie Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, we really needed a win. An emergency vet visit in Phoenix meant we needed to arrive at Valley Ho a day earlier. Kyle at the front desk not only fixed the funky booking I made with central command, but also gave us an upgrade and a little goody plate for our room with a nice note from the GM/VP.... Kyle must've been able to tell I was stressed (maybe it was the dog hair or the nasty dog sick smell on me, not sure) and needed a good shower. For context, we had a horrible experience a few days earlier at a Motel 6 that should be shut down (huge holes in the tub, fixtures broken off the walls, blood on surfaces). Literally, put our camp blankets on the bed and slept in hoodies with our hoods up. After putting my hand in something sticky on the nightstand, I was afraid to even sit down in the place. —SO, to arrive at a hotel where someone looks at you as a person and provides you with the most beautiful clean bathroom, a large, hot, high pressure shower, a giant tub, a patio looking out into the pool, fluffy clean sheets on a soft bed—I was nearly in tears (honestly, was a bit, but wiped them away with my shirt and kept my cool). The property is so beautiful, the gym is amazing with a huge selection of ultra-modern machines and a view of the pool. My dog was so comfortable and could heal from his vet visit in the comfort of a cool room. This was wonderful. I can't wait to come back. And, honestly, I was a bit weepy when we left.
THANK YOU HOTEL VALLEY HO and THANK YOU, KYLE!
Perfect place for a quiet mid-century getaway. The location is perfect for food, shopping, or just walking around. The area is quiet and feels very safe.
The hotel is lovely and feels like stepping back in time (in a good way). There's a pool with music and a bar as well as a quiet, secluded pool.
The property is very lush for being in the desert. We love that our patio opened up to lime trees.
We live in Las Vegas, and don't have anything close to this type of experience here.
We've been twice and will definitely return..
Room was nice and gym was excellent
Pool was not clean and staff were not very friendly
Awesome hotel and really cool 50’s vibe. Pool area was excellent with lots of staff constantly checking if anything is needed.
Great location and a really nice vibe overall. We had a patio room, which would’ve been great, but it happened to be one of the hottest weekends, so we couldn’t really enjoy it. The pools were nice, and the room itself was stylish and comfortable.
The issues were all heat‑related. The room just couldn’t stay cool in 110° weather — it hovered around 75°, so it never felt fully comfortable. The bigger problem was the minibar fridge. It wasn’t cold at all, which makes buying anything from it pretty pointless, and because it wasn’t actually cold, we couldn’t even use it for our own drinks. There was no separate fridge for personal items either, which is a huge miss for a hotel in Scottsdale during summer.
All the drinks were warm, so we kept running to the ice machine, but the ice melted quickly because the room wouldn’t stay cool. We ended up going to Circle K just to get cold drinks. Honestly, it felt like the hotel and Circle K had some kind of side arrangement going on.
For the price we paid, having a proper fridge for personal items is a must. That alone would make me think twice about staying here again.
We loved our experience at Valley Ho, but the star of the show was definitely Niesha at the pool — she didn’t just provide customers service - she provided an experience. She was so engaging and knowledgeable about the area (provided many recommendations.). At a time when people are constantly looking for the ‘next best thing’ - it is people like Niesha that keep you coming back to the same property.
After the air conditioning failed at our Airbnb, it's July and the temperature was 113° Hotel Valley Ho truly saved our trip. They were incredibly welcoming and let us check in early in the morning, which was such a relief. Every aspect of our stay was fantastic, from the exceptional service and friendly staff to the wonderful meals at Zuzu the restaurant which has incredible food. It was an absolute five-star experience.
Great hotel in the heart of Scottsdale. Very retro chic with quaint decor, nice rooms, and friendly staff. Prices are excellent during the week (which is when we went). We will definitely be back, hopefully to try the spa amenities, too!
We love the Valley Ho and have done staycations here for years. Hotel has a great vibe, great food, perfect location, and the staff are wonderful.
It was great! The location was excellent, cleanliness of the surroundings and the rooms was exceptional, nice staff, price (summer), amenities and surroundings - all was awesome.
Been going to Valley Ho for about 10 years now. I love the rooms, but not all rooms are good so you have to know how to pick your room. We stayed the night before and the night after our vacation. I love the signature king room with bathtub. Prices are very high in the winter and have priced me out during that time. Staff are very good and attentive.
This is a cool hotel in a perfect Scottsdale location. The fifties-sixties vibe was fun. Good pool areas and our room was spacious and well appointed. Traveled with a dog - great areas for dogs to chill, too.
This place is exactly what you want it to be, an amazing hotel for those who appreciate the style and architecture of mid-century Phoenix. They don't sacrifice modern amenities, yet it never feels forced. If I could stay here every time I'm in the valley I would, but if you're like me and don't travel lavishly and you find yourself in the area in the summer, call the reservations desk and get a wonderful stay at a great price.
Absolutely lovely. After trying to find the perfect resort experience on a family trip and overpaying for crowdedness and questionable cleanliness, arriving here was a true five-star experience. Comfortable, clean, cool vibe, and the absolute best personal, friendly, accommodating staff. Will be back and recommend highly for everyone else. Also, the dog policy and no additional charge for dogs is awesome.
Excellent hotel. Definitely recommend staying at this location. It’s in a great location. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
I liked everything . The staff were brilliant — and I arrived to the mega fun surprise to discover I was ‘VIP of the Day ‘ . My room was lovely and comfy — the location is totally walkable to Old Town Scottsdale —- and the restaurant Zuzu was amazing . If you like carpaccio hi-tail it there . Best I have ever had
