If not for disruptions in the night this would be a very good hotel.
Pros:

Location was fantastic, central to all tourist attractions and shops. Room was clean and facilities generally good.

Cons:

No air conditioning. Loud music from nearby clubs and bars until 3am even on week nights. With the hot weather, it meant having to leave the windows open during the night which made the noise even worse. 7am wake up call of beer barrels rolling down the cobbles. And I haven’t even mentioned the ghosts!

Great for a fun night out !
Pros:

Lovely accommodation. Large bedroom with tv and four poster bed, large bathroom with free standing bath, 2 sinks and a shower plus lounge with tv !

La ubicación

Cons:

Nos avisaron que los fines de semana es un sitio en el que se hacen fiestas, pero en nuestro caso fuimos un jueves, se supone que íbamos a tener una estancia tranquila, pero justo en el bar de al lado (The Victoria) había fiesta y karaoke hasta las dos de la mañana. La música altísima y la gente en el patio de abajo gritando . Imposible pegar ojo e íbamos súper cansadas del viaje. Deberían avisar de que esto es así todos los días porque no hubiéramos cogido ese hotel ni de broma. Una noche horrible, ya que a las 8 de la mañana teníamos que despertarnos para seguir viajando y no descansamos nada. Nada recomendable a no ser que quieras estar de fiesta.

Nice reception when we arrived. We were upgraded which was fab. Comfortable nights sleep and great location. Good value

Pros:

Man who greeted us was friendly. Room was spacious. No cleanliness issue in the room itself.

Cons:

We were warned about it being loud at weekends but we booked for a Wednesday. They say that during the week it is ‘peaceful and relaxed’. This was not the case as one of the neighbouring bars had incredibly loud music / karaoke and the windows didn’t block any of this sound. I appreciate that the hotel doesn’t have control over the neighbouring bar, however it would make sense for them to invest in some better sound proofing in the rooms if noise is a constant issue in the hotel. Carpets going up to the room were also mouldy which didn’t give a great first impression!

The room needs some maintenance doing lighting in the bathroom on 2 bulbs working, the cold water pressure from sink was only a trickle, basically it just needs a a bit of maintenance and music on till 3am from next door on a Thursday night !!!!!!!

Comfortable hotel located in Chester City Centre.
Pros:

The location of the hotel was perfect in the centre of Chester. Check in was seamless and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious , clean and comfortable.
