Staff where courteous but not well dressed - location was excellent - communal carpet was poor and smelt

Good value for money for a Saturday stay, couldn't ask for a better location as a Chester visitor.
Pros:

Fantastic location. Spacious and clean room, bathroom a great size and clean too. Fridge, kettle, iron, all the things you'd hope for and a bit more. Done the job for perfectly as visitors to the cathedral, which was about 90 seconds away.

Cons:

It's noisy, as there is a lot of action downstairs and in the streets around the property. But we were OK with this and not back until late and drunk ourselves. Also found the entrance a little tricky to find - had to press the ring Doorbell, wasn't completely obvious at first. But no problem once we knew.

Great location but super noisy
Pros:

The location is great for access to Chester.
The bedroom was clean and the bed was comfortable but the room was tired, broken blinds, loose taps and the shower door didn't close properly.
Its definitely a pub first... hotel second

Cons:

Our welcome was poor... we couldn't check in and luckily there was a nice lady in the yard who new who to phone otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get in. When we eventually got in the guy was apologetic and was welcoming and gave us all the info we needed.
The hotel is super noisy which was mentioned in the write up but it was mad loud.

Pros:

£50 for a double, en suite, smack bang in the middle of chester high street, excellent location.
We arrived 3 hours early, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, they allowed us to check in early, so we could go and enjoy our day in Chester.
I have no complaints, more than likely go back there.

Exceptional Hotel! Everything was perfect.
Pros:

Everything!! Ideal location, very nice room, everything we wanted. The manager was extremely pleasant. Nothing was too much for him.
Had a lovely night away in Chester plus a very comfy night sleep.

Cons:

Nothing.. everything was great.

I’ll definitely revisit if I stay over in Chester again

For the price it was as expected. Can't really complain.
Pros:

Room was pleasent. A bit lived in but better than I expected.

Based on the location I was expecting a very late night, but turned out OK. This was a wednesday night though.

Cons:

Black mould between tiles. But generally for what I paid for this was the only thing that I didnt like.
But
Mattress was a little soft for my liking.
And also, though i wasn't kept up by bars... the 6am key delivery did wake me up. But its not that bad really.
