The overall experience was disappointing

The only positive aspect of our stay was the beautiful views from the hotel.

Cons:

Unfortunately, we had no access to the spa as it was apparently fully booked, there was nothing to do in the surrounding area, and the restaurant service was extremely disorganized — we waited about 1 hour and 30 minutes and eventually left without eating, while many guests who arrived before us were still waiting. The organization overall was very poor. I would not recommend this hotel

No longer the gem it once was
Pros:

Interestingly the review i just read echoed my experience. Poorly maintained property, no longer a true resort experience. Seriously in need of refurbishing. Tiles chipped and cracked furniture looks like it was purchased at a garage sale. Carpets are filthy. I checked in with one towel in the bathroom the coffee maker encrusted with residue from use and no place to plug it in. Once replace the 2nd coffee maker did not work. Went to the Red restaurant and the coffee was meh and the avocado toast appeared to be smeared cold avocado on cold French toast with a sweetness that was very unappealing. The banquet food we had the night before was amazing really but the resort appears to be failing and very low on maintenance.

Relaxing getaway
Pros:

Traveled from Northern CA to meet family/friends for a few days. The property is convenient if playing golf and the amenities are nice since there is a restaurant, pool, bar, free parking(!) which is rare these days.

The only complaint I have is there is no in-house place to buy snacks, beverages, and incidentals. You have to get in the car and drive down the hill which is inconvenient, especially in the evenings. A small kiosk in the lobby would be a great service for customers.

One Pleasant Stay
Pros:

My stay was exceptional! Room was very clean and in presentable condition. The Red had delicious food, and attentive service. The pool was quite clean and in excellent condition.
