We had a wonderful stay. Charlotte & Lars were very hospitable, nothing was too much trouble for them. They made lots of suggestions about places to visit. The hotel is in a tranquil wooded location which is perfect for peace & quiet. We recommend it and would love to return.

Lyxigt nybyggt hotell som ändå smälte in i platsen och naturen. Vi bodde i snygga bekväma rum. Saknade inget. Fanns ingen tv - men det saknade vi som sagt ej. God och lokalproducerad mat. Engagerade ägare som själva arbetade på hotellet och berättade om områdets historia och sevärdheter.

Das Hotel liegt mitten im Grünen. Sehr gutes, ausreichendes aber kleines Frühstück, habe noch nie eine so gute Marmelade gegessen. Zimmer sehr schön und mit Sitzgelegenheiten vor der Tür im Freien. Hier kann man nicht nur die Natur und Kultur von Gotland genießen, sondern auch ausspannen und sich erholen.
Die Besitzerin ist sehr redselig, sie gab uns gleich gute Tipps und eine Karte, was man alles anschauen soll. Haben wir gemacht und waren sehr dankbar dafür

Die Lage ist unübertroffen schön; wer die Natur und die Ruhe liebt, ist hier absolut richtig. Wir hatten die Fahrräder dabei und so die Möglichkeit, die wunderschöne Umgebung zu erkunden. Die Eigentümerin war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünschen unerfüllt. Auch das Essen im Hotelrestaurant war hervorragend!

Three nights were not enough! For us Strandakar made for an ideal home base for exploring the island’s many treasures. Our hosts Charlotte and Lars were the perfect guides in helping us make the most of our days. Breakfasts and dinners were both beautifully prepared and delicious. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. For all of Strandakar’s charms and beauty, it is the hosts are the magic that makes this place special and one to return to again. Thank you for making our stay so lovely.

Are you looking for a great hotel in the southeast of Gotland? Then we would like to recommend Strandakar Hotell & Restaurant. The restaurant is also highly recommended. In the hotel, which only has 12 rooms, you can get very well to rest. Each room has its own entrance and a seating area in front of the room. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard where you can also have breakfast or dinner. The nice hotel owners work in the hotel themselves and are usually present and approachable from morning to evening. There is the DeLuxe room with sleeping floor and rooms that are on one level (good for disabled people and possibly older people). The beds are super comfortable. The bathroom is very generously dimensioned.

The breakfast offers everything your heart desires, including homemade muesli and jams and good coffee! We were allowed to spend six nights in the hotel. On the first evening we went to the bistro for dinner, which was very good. From the hotel we visited the entire south of Gotland. Good visiting tips are given by the hotel owner. If we come to Gotland again, we will certainly book the hotel! Thanks to the nice owners of this hotel.

Amazing place hidden in the beautiful southeast of the island, close to the best nature destinations. Comfortable, well maintained, great staff and food, the perfect base for a vacation on Gotland.

Vi kom väldigt sent och restaurangen hade stängt. De fixade ändå en god charkbricka och några öl till oss. Mycket trevlig o serviceinriktad personal.
