Location, views and property amazing

The location is amazing, I loved all the plants outside as well. Hotel was very clean and will be lovely once all the renovations are complete. The waiting staff and cleaners were all very friendly and thoughtful. Our view from room 314 was absolutely stunning and the main reason we chose to stay in this hotel.
The dinner options and decor felt quite old fashioned, and the reception staff seemed unusually formal/brusque at times. The lights in the bathroom were really bright and activated by a very delicate motion sensor; it would have been nice to have the option of leaving them turned off for toilet trips during the night.

The sea view was beautiful. Quick service at the bar. The bathroom was lovely. Nice tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. Complimentary bottles of water. Staff seemed nice.
The bed had a big dip in it, myself and my partner had to stick to one side of the bed, we didn't get much sleep. The full breakfast was not the best. There is no iron in the room, you have to go to the third floor into a little room to iron your clothes. Really didn't feel this was worth £225 for a 1 night stay in a Thursday, especially with the poor quality beds and breakfast.

The staff were nice and friendly, nice breakfast buffet. The location was also great.
Single room was at the back with no sea view and the single bed was small.

Love the character and location of the Giltar , we like the South beach car park and the flowers and plants display at the front.
The room we had was overlooking Caldy island but was very small , quite a strong stale smell from the bathroom.
Location was fantastic , easy walk to town centre. Beach outside the door.
