Could be better
Pros:

The old world charm and lavish common areas

Cons:

I have stayed here before and it was impeccably clean. This time room cleaning was delayed and patchy, food trays remained in corridors uncollected for hours, basically housekeeping needs to be more efficient

Pros:

I think the building is beautiful, restaurants inside the hotel are really diverse and great at their own accord. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on

Cons:

The room I received at first smelled like damp mold, the bathroom door didn't close and did not match the description in booking (did not have balcony)

The pool was closed for maintainance, and it was planned and I did not get any info on this. Very disappointing.

Service staff was quite bad at responding to requests, things got done don't get me wrong but things took really long time with bad time and expectation management.

A lovely stay in a friendly hotel.
Pros:

The staff were amazing. So friendly. Everyone was so welcoming and did a fantastic job of looking after us. Plus we were invited to attend the lighting ceremony at the hotel during Diwali. It was beautiful and we were honoured to be invited to join in.

Cons:

Slightly better soundproofing on the doors as we could still hear the parakeets squawking when the doors were closed.
