Sonesta ES Suites Burlington

Had trouble controlling temperature in the room. Thermostat didn't seem to work. Other items were broken (handle to slider going out to deck, USB port on living room lamp, toaster).

The pool was in a separate building and it was too cold to walk outside in a bathing suit. Also, the smell of chlorine was overpowering and concerning to my health when I stepped inside the pool area to examine the possibilities.
Our suite configuration was a surprise. We traveled with another couple and expected 2 bedrooms. The space was an open concept with no doors or privacy to the bedroom area. Our beds opened to the living space with our friends above us in a loft. We could hear the conversations and movement of each other. Maybe a great configuration if traveling with children. Finally, we brought food to heat up and there was only one small pot, so you may want to bring your own.

The room was not ready when we arrived. When we came into our we, we discovered we needed towels and bedding. The walls by the bathroom sink were splattered with all mattered of degree. This one thing represents the condition of the entire bathroom. It was bad. There was a mop left leaning against the wall right outside our door. When cleaning staff left their cart outside our door as they worked, I leaned the mop against their cart. When they left, they leaned the mop back against the wall! The grounds are is dire need of attention. There are 2 planters on either side of the entrance to the office. Those planters had dead plants in them. There is very nice landscaping all around the facility, but it is severely overgrown with weeds that extend into and across walkways. This Sonesta ES needs serious attention!

Rooms were not clean, stains all over the carpet. Rooms smelled like mildew. AC was not working in the first room we were in. Desk attendant fought us over the AC being broken. Not impressed.

Very run down

We arrived from Orlando, booked thru Booking, a suite with two queen beds, chimney(fireplace) and kitchenette.

1. Tv sets were old ( at least 15 years) not smart. Could not connect our phones, or use Netflix!

Bad reception and not steady cable service.

2. There was not Pillow covers on pillows, and the only one with it, had stains of lipstick.

3. The flatware set was incomplete, no forks ! The only spoon had rests of food on it! Everything inside a drawer!

Had to call twice to get pillow covers, clean flatware, fix the tv sets signal And never had wood sticks for the chimney , nor matches !


What kind of administration runs a place so bad? Cost was $220 but maybe $70 were a fair price!!

I picked this suite trusting the brand SONESTA! What a mess!

So many things went wrong. When we entered the room, there was a strong smell (like durian or similar fruit), there was food left in the fridge, the soapbar was opened from its pack, and the TV was on. It seemed like someone was in the room before us and they forgot to completely clean it up. So, the first complain was responded, but then the worst happened.
We used the bathtub and the shower normally (no overflow or anything), but after a while we realized that there was water everywhere, in the bathroom floor, under the bed, even up to the kitchen. There was definitely something wrong with the plumbing. We complained to the reception again, but this time nobody came even though we waited and waited and waited. We had to stay up until late to dry the leakage using the limited towels that we had, and we couldn't use the bathroom anymore because we're afraid the same thing would occur. We should get a refund for so many things wrong during our stay.

Everything. It was filthy, totally disgusting

This location did not live up to the advertisement when we booked. It is an older property that needs an upgrade. It is an older model needing modernization.

The cleaning products were extremely overwhelming, it was hard to be in the room

Property in need of renovation. Bathroom sub par as shower head didn’t work, shower rod half off mounting, silicon around tub and grout dirty. Stained carpet in living area. Dirty utensils in kitchenette. Outside of property unkempt landscaping full of weeds and sidewalk faults covered by fallen leaves.

Wish the one bedroom had a door on it for more privacy.

We had to wait 3 hrs for rooms to be clean. The buildings could use some maintenance.
