The construction noise early in the am.
Great location, comfortable room and super helpful and attentive employee team, both in the hotel and the on site restaurant. Christalis and her front desk colleagues had help or the answer for every request or question. The onsite gym/fitness room also was pretty good.
The room was really nice, but unfortunately you could hear everything going on out in the corridor. Not soundproof whatsoever. Other than that, the hotel was fantastic.

We stayed at the Marriot Copley Place the week before and it was perfection.
Then we stayed at the Marriott Long Wharf in December 2025.
This is the tale of 2 Marriot’s.
We were in town to go to the Bruins game, and we were also going to go to the Celtics game the next night. We stayed one night but gave ourselves “the option” of staying one more night for the Celtics.
Giving ourselves” the option” meaning I checked online there were plenty of rooms and suites available for the next night should we want to extend our stay after the game.
Apparently, this Marriott is owned by a group of investors per the front desk person at check in.
Because of that they water down benefits (my opinion) normally one would expect when staying at a typical Marriott International hotel.
To wit: no elite check in, no amenity at check in i.e. a gift or points, not honor upgrade requests associated with status, An M club that closes on weekends and Fridays after breakfast.
I found out about the investor situation because it was December and we have high status in the Marriott program I requested a room upgrade. These potential upgrades are available to status members to select when booking online. They expire at the end of the year, so I wanted to use at least one.
When checking in I asked about the upgrade potential and was told “That’s Bonvoy not us” …... I said “what do you mean? This is a Marriott.”
She explained and said investors own the hotel and determine what Marriott amenities will be honored.
My upgrade request was a…no go. She did say she would give us a nice water view.
What she gave us was the darkest room, with a view of a puddle on a roof.
I called the desk and asked for another room. I also tried again and asked for a better room but the person on the phone said the hotel was booked. Not true per the online availability
We were given a room a little further down floor. When we got to that room, we found dirty laundry and dirty dishes out front. See pic
We crossed our fingers and went in. Fortunately, the room was clean and a smidge brighter. The room was ok, a little dated, but fine.
The next day we had breakfast in the M-Club. The staff were friendly and attentive.
When we came back to the hotel in the early afternoon, we found out the M-Club closes on the weekend after Friday breakfast.
The M Club was one of the reasons we chose this Marriott.
This was not the Marriott experience we signed up for.
Aside from the location, this hotel is one of the most disappointing ones I’ve been to.
I just didn’t feel any effort at hospitality at all at this hotel.
The rooms are dated. The manager was more focused on reaming out whoever left the laundry and dish in front of our room than ensure our stay was a good one.
If you have status at Marriott Bonvoy you may want to re-think staying here as the reward for loyalty to this Marriott is……. Nothing… except late check out.
This is a first-world problem I know but isn’t that the reason for rewarding loyalty (i.e. spending money) to a brand and earning a few privileges because of this.
Well, I learned all Marriott’s are not alike because …last week’s stay at The Marriott Copley Place was fantastic. THIS PLACE …. not so much. I will be more careful when I book next.
We did not stay and checked out.
We did stay in town for a second night at a Hotel on Beacon Hill that put on a master class in hospitality.
We won’t be back to this Hotel.
