Service that cares
Pros:

This was one of my better experiences in Europe. The location is ideal for experiencing Amsterdam with almost every key attraction within walking distance. The staff at this hotel were engaging, thoughtful, responsive, and extremely helpful. I made it to the hotel after waiting two hours for my bag at the airport that wouldn't get to Amsterdam for another two days. I arrived at the hotel exhausted and frustrated, but the staff was so supportive, supply essential that I need for the next 48 hrs while staying up to date on my luggage. Breakfast was an easy hassle free event that made me feel seen. One of the waitress, Hang, had my order memorized and greeted me every morning with a smile. As a black, masculine, lesbian from Alabama, travel experiences have been mixed for me. I've had hotel staff in other countries either ignoring me while I ate with coworkers, a feeling that I can't shake. However, this hotel was a small travel victory for me that will serve as a salve for those other wounds.

Poor room quality
Pros:

Hotel nice but rooms no where near 5 star. Had issues with air conditioning, dog barking in room near us until 11pm, shower quality poor and cracked glass in room. Reception said they would look into issues but nothing as we only stayed for 3 nights. Wouldn’t use again as cost was £970.

Nice but not 5 stars
Pros:

Good gym

Cons:

Some plugs didn’t work once lights were turned off in the room meaning we couldn’t charge devices overnight; room was warm and couldn’t get air con to work

A lovely place to stay close to everything!
Pros:

This is our fourth stay at the Amsterdam Marriott. The customer service, cleanliness and accommodations are always above par. The location is perfect for all the favorite sites to see. Frans' greetings and helpfulness always was a warm welcome returning from a long day in the city. The MClub staff provided a lovely environment to enjoy a delicious breakfast and evening meal. We will happily return on our next visit.

Incredible customer service

Incredible customer service. If I could give the service alone more than a 5* I would.
Honestly we’re so so thankful you completely saved our trip! We originally were staying in a hotel which was not as described. it was hideous, so unhygienic and unsafe we just could not stay there with our toddler.
We come to the Marriott in hopes they had a room available which they gave us for a really decent rate due to our circumstances. They were so welcoming and loving towards our toddler too giving her a real vip treatment which she loved. Throughout our 2 night stay they were so polite and pleasant taking real good care of us all. We thank you so much and we will be using the Marriott in the future for sure!

Friendly staff
Pros:

The service from front desk to the M lounge was fantastic! Special mention to Frans for getting our rental car ready every morning so we could leave right away, always with a smile, water and a nice friendly chat to start the day!

Excellent Amsterdam Visit
Pros:

The valet service was smooth and well organized. Franz was professional, friendly, and took great care of my car. The concierge staff were also very helpful and made the arrival process easy and stress-free. Everything was efficient from start to finish, and it definitely added to a positive hotel experience.

Some good people and some things that were negative.
Pros:

Frans was very helpful. Steal house super over priced and uppity chef arguing and disparaging loudly was a complete turn off. Waiters were good.
