Bathroom layout and amenities are important to us. This hotel was lacking.
Pros:

Nice to have a nitelight in the bathroom. Lots of electric outlets for device charging.
What service we needed was done with a smile in the restaurant and at front desk. Hotel was walking distance to most of downtown and easy access to freeway.

Cons:

Check in wasn’t until 4. They charge extra for parking $12/day which was later refunded though. We tried for a late lunch at 2pm, food and beverages got served after 3pm. Only 2 other people were there, having drinks, so it wasn’t because of a crowd. So an hour wait for sandwiches and soft drinks. Thus our decision to seek breakfast elsewhere.

We heard every footstep of tenant on 3rd floor. The hotel was not full so would prefer to avoid being “stacked”. Toilet paper is mounted almost out of reach. Grab bar in shower is next to the toilet. Would be safer mounted on the end of tub/shower where we step in/out. Only towel rack for used bath towels is inside the tub/shower. We like to use more than once to save on laundry, but with three of us, not enough hanging space for bath towels or robes. No signs/instructions in the laundry for guests…only slot for quarters, no credit card slot, no idea how much cost to run a load of wash or just dry. Guess we would have to ask front desk. Too much bother. Mini fridge is nice, but could use a freezer to refreeze our cooler’s blue ice. Have to kneel on the floor to make coffee/tea because of shelf/plug. Need nightstand space on both sides of the beds.

Disappointed, won't return

Location close to Cal Poly.

Cons:

Upon returning to hotel after being gone all day our room was open. Either housekeeping or maintenance had apparently left door open. When reported to reception the following morning, staff seemed uninterested. Also noise from room above and next door was loud and disturbing.
