The beds were very comfortable and the staff were very good at keeping the hockey players and parents from running up and down the hallway.
The price per room was the highest we have ever paid. It was almost as much as what we paid per night at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City the night before.
Location is central
Noisy guests. But hotel tried to address it. Walks too thin also.
The room was comfortable and we enjoyed the use of the pool.
Trying to eat in the dining room was near impossible. The main entrance doors were constantly open to in/out traffic and the freezing cold wind just blew through the dining area. As well, there was a dearth of staff in the dining room... only two at lunch on Saturday... due to either illness or just not showing up... the staff that was there did a terrific job ...but the wait was long and we were freezing.
It's sports playoff season this time in Canada... and I would have thought that the hotel business would have been better prepared.
Staff very nice, very clean, close to downtown restaurants and shopping. Being downtown Kingston's waterfront is beautiful!
When we arrived there was no water. Water never came back on until the next morning. They were very apologetic. These things happen and was out of their control. They compensated us with free parking, free breakfast and a complimentary night in the future. Still had a fun girls night out!!
Location. Beds are very comfortable.
Staff indifferent, dismissive. Not helpful at all.
Mold in the room along the ceiling.
Water suddenly off while trying to get ready to check out so I couldn't shower or brush my teeth before leaving.
Expensive parking in a lot that required dragging suitcases through mud, potholes and large puddles. Couldn't pull up to door because of workers.
Location was nice for walking distance
We were told we had to pay for breakfast buffet 22$ each even though when we booked it said it was included. Huge let down. We werent expecting to go walking around in the cold to find somewhere to pay for breakfast.
Disappointing Stay – Not Hockey Team Friendly
We stayed here for the Kingston hockey tournament and were very disappointed. The hotel showed little tolerance for kids, despite actively booking hockey teams and charging $700 per room for the weekend.
We were spoken to for simply standing in the hallway outside our room with jackets on while heading to dinner. The following day, we were approached about a noise complaint shortly after returning from a hockey game—despite barely being back at the hotel.
The kids were being kids, remained respectful at all times, and were always under parent supervision. The constant reprimands and being watched made us feel unwelcome. If this hotel does not want families or teams, they should not book youth hockey teams.
This had really taking away from our kids experience and this is really what hockey is all about.
Would not recommend this hotel if you are staying with a hockey team.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating!
Room service was excellent!
Free parking.
Kinda expensive for the buffet.
Staff was very friendly and the location was great.
First shower took 5 minutes for the water to get hot. Half the water from shower emptied into the drain in the middle of the bathroom so the bathroom floor was still wet 6 hours later and the steam did not vent.
Was charged an additional $100 on top of the $1000+ I already paid to park. Would not have been a deal breaker but it would have been nice to know when I booked the room.
Le balcon était plein de fils d'araignée et de bébites. Les chaises três sales.
Great location to the attractions and food
The room was a little dated
Stay was good
Breakfast was good
Room was clean but the balcony was not
Balcony was full a webs that could have been clean with a broom
Was advised of the maid when she came to the door that checkout was 11 and was asked if we r staying another night. Told her no that checkout was 12 and she said no but it’s ok cause im going for my lunch break anyways
