The price was good compared to the other options in Winnipeg, which were quite expensive.
For our purposes we were quite surprised and pleased with this hotel which was booked on the same day as our stay and we were expecting less than what we actually ended up with.
Location was good
Cleanliness wasn’t there,(crayon on walls, the sheets were stained. Our bedsheet had a rip in it, and when I opened it up there was a mosquito hawk.
We were excited for the noon check out, but our house keeper knocked and woke us up at 9:00am

Comfortable beds
This comment applies to most of the North American countries. Having travelled to many asian countries, I would say North American hotels have still a lot to learn from them in terms of hospitality and service. A 3 star hotel here is equivalent to a 2 star hotel in Asian countries.
Everything was fine.We really were just in the hotel to sleep.
Lobby was clean and inviting, beds were comfy
Stains on the floor in the room ( looked like puke stain in one spot)
Bathroom had some pink substance on the wall

Air conditioning in all rooms was not functioning and tv reception was not great.

The location
The fire alarm went off for a long time-30mins. There was no intercom from the hotel telling us any information on location, what to do, severity etc. we sent a message on the chat to whom ever asking about this information. The alarm went off about 10:30pm, we got a response from someone the next day at 1:00pm. This is a huge safety issue.
The walls in the room are paper thin, we can hear conversations in the next room and hallway. One ply toilet paper in the bathroom, never seen that before at hotels. Parking was horrible, the lobby area was unwelcoming and sparse.
Location was great, that’s about it.
