Location, cleanliness, decor. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful…particularly Jen who gave us some cracking bar & restaurant recommendations
Nothing, was all awesome
The rooms are clean and unique! The staff is friendly and welcoming. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable
Nothing!
It’s unique and hidden away.
I’m impressed with the updates made to the rooms/sleeper cars, reception area, and courtyard. We stayed at this hotel in 2001 and again in 2019, so the recent changes made (in my opinion) are headed in the right direction. I especially liked the paint colors, art, and finishes in our room and around the property. Our bathroom was very pretty (and clean). The mattress was super comfortable. The banquette seating in our room was lovely and an enjoyable place to relax other than the bed. The change to the closet to fit the design aesthetic was also a nice detail I’m glad wasn’t overlooked. I used the provided garment steamer (thank you!) and robe. The robe wasn’t anything super fancy, but it did the job. Because we were visiting family to celebrate their birthday we had extra flowers in the room during our stay, elevating the overall atmosphere. Staff were lovely and accommodating. I like that there is a coffee bar in the reception area even if we weren’t able to utilize it. I feel comfortable recommending this property to friends and family. I’m sure we’ll be back soon!
I only want to suggest adding a security bar to the sliding glass door. Our room didn’t have one. Probably should’ve asked, but we still slept fine. However, having one, especially for first floor rooms, would provide an added sense of safety that a simple door lock doesn’t. Thank you to management for considering this suggestion.
The property is well appointed with great amenities and chic decor, enhanced by the fact that it is very clean and well maintained. I liked the pool (though too cold for our visit) and Elsie’s Daughter, the on premise restaurant. My toddler son and I explored the entire property, many times over, and found it has alot of private nooks and hang out spaces, great for catching up with friends or family. I appreciated the fact that there’s real artwork on the wall and the sitting area in the room was very convenient and charming!
The breakfast coffee bar was lacking any savory breakfast choices at 8 am and feels quite tedious to be charged for drip coffee that you serve yourself. Could’ve had complimentary tea and coffee or even juice!
I liked the vintage aesthetic, the patio, the amenities, comfy beds, and onsite restaurant, and the easy check in and check out.
My room was connected to an adjourning room which is ok but the wall on that side seemed to be so thin I felt like I was invading my neighbors privacy. My neighbor did bang on my door because the tv was too loud which was hard to tell because the AC unit was so loud it was hard to hear the tv. I could hear my neighbors conversation and hear them when they were in the bathroom. The next day the neighbor checked out and the new guest had their dog that seemed to bark at everything and once again I could hear there conversation as though I was in there room.
Location was great and the room was nice
It was a bit pricey. I would not have stayed there without my Booking incentives I had earned being applied. Glad I stayed though.
