Pros:

The staff is amazing! We love Ty!!! The location across from Centennial park is lovely.

Cons:

It is an older building and some details were missed like not having a toilet paper wand to it on.

Great place to stay while visiting Nashville
Pros:

Clean hotel, location was great. The shuttle takes you right downtown. I would stay here again. Definitely check out the singer songwriter lounge The Commodore in the lobby. Songwriters come here and sing the songs that they wrote, and that some of the celebrities sing. It was a great experience. But what made it really good was Ty the front desk clerk he was helpful in so many ways.

Pros:

Didn't eat breakfast due to time restraints but had a latte which was delicious. Trey at the front desk was exceptional! So friendly and helped me with all my requests.

Breakfast at the hotel restaurant
Pros:

I haven’t completed my stay yet but I would like to say that my friend and I shared an amazing buffet style breakfast at the restaurant attached to the hotel. One of the exceptional features of the breakfast was our server and presumably the gentleman in charge of the breakfast dining, Ferdinand. He was delightful, fully accommodating, and extremely professional. I myself have worked in the food industry for most of my career and I was thoroughly impressed by the service we received. Speaking purely for that experience I’d rate it 11/10.

Commodore Grill is Great!
Pros:

I took a large group to the Commodore Grill to enjoy their live music. It was fantastic! The food was good and the staff was even better. Merry, Michelle, Olylannis, Juan, Clara, and Sheree took amazing care of all 20 people in our group! Highly recommend this experience and restaurant!

Fantastic Service - Amazing staff
Pros:

I recently stayed here (March 20th - 25th) and found this to be a most excellent hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. They offer a free shuttle bus to Broadway and all you need to do is call them and they'll come and pick you up too. The location is great too with many restaurants nearby. The hotel itself has the Commodore Grille which is an absolute bonus, with live music each night with amazing artists. They jewel in the crown here though is the staff. They are simply brilliant and nothing is too much bother for them - always on hand to help you out. I'd like to thank Ty, Melissa, Shandie, and Chauro at reception. Grace, Michelle and Chris in the bar/restaurant. All the cleaning and concierge team and lastly the shuttle bus drivers who were fantastic. Thank especially to Charles who not only drove us everywhere but gave us a history lesson on each ride. A truly fantastic hotel and one I would highly recommend. Thanks again to all the team - you made our stay truly memorable!!!

Affordable option with some noticeable wear and tear
Pros:

When we researched hotels in downtown Nashville while planning out trip, we found that hotels in heart of downtown Nashville were very expensive. We decided to stay in the Vanderbilt University area which is close to downtown...this Holiday Inn was one of the most affordable options in the Vanderbilt area. Staff were friendly and check in was quick. While the lobby area is bright and inviting, we stepped out of the elevator into a 4th floor hallway that looks like it hasn't been updated in decades. The room was a mixed bag..it was a small room that needs to have the carpeting and wall paper replaced. On a positive note, the mattress was comfortable, the nightstands and dresser appeared fresh, there was a large flat screen tv, mini fridge and microwave. While room was small, it did have a small balcony that we could step out to and catch some fresh air. Hotel has on site bar and restaurant that we did not use since there are many other wining and dining options within walking distance. Hotel also has a shuttle that will take you to places within a 2 mile radius of the hotel...we used the shuttle to go to the Frist museum and to The Pub bar and grill. Parking is expensive...$45 per day if you do valet or $35 per day for self parking in back of the hotel...this is a large hotel and the parking lot fills up quickly...if you take the car out and return after 7-8 pm, you might not be able to find a spot.

If you are looking for a sleek, high end hotel you might not be content here. If you're looking for an affordable hotel in a good location you'll be okay here
