Evening meal (burger) came with very small portion of chips and the 3 onion rings as an add on for £1.50 was disappointing. Was like they were on rations
Price chilled out
High price of food
Room was clean.
Toilet bath/shower clean and good.
Welcome on checking in was poor. The direction next door building of bedrooms was casual and it took us a bit of working to find it.
Breakfast service poor. The lady kept on apologising.
Carpet in around the bar and breakfast area were not tidy.
Good location, good food /drinks menu. Great customer service and very friendly staff.
Friendly, helpful reception staff, clean comfortable room and great location. Nice and quiet and easy to get to.
Run out of fruit and yoghurt and few "healthy" choices for breakfast. My husband really enjoyed his cooked breakfast though.
Very friendly staff. Good bed and good bathroom.
Dropped something behind the drawers and when I moved them to retrieve it, exposed all kinds of nasty crap. Need to properly clean!
Great location, good facilities, great value
Nothing really
Location. Friendly staff
The beds. I have stayed here around 4 times and I’ve decided last night will be my last. The beds are like sleeping on a wooden crate; they are solid and have no give in them. I’ve decided my next stay will be at the local Premier Inn - better for my back. The other issues with the room is that the windows don’t seal properly, possibly due to the chiseled wood notch that the latch goes into but that means you can hear all of outside so took me hours to get to sleep.
A lovely , peaceful venue ( not too busy over the April weekend my group stayed). The staff were polite, friendly and helpful ( paricularly in resolving some booking gliches arising from multiple online booking anomalies.) The food was good( breakfasts, teas/ coffees during the day and evening meals). The main bar / lounge had loads of space for us to relax and chat. The sleeping accommodation was easily accesible and gge staff ensured all members of the group were in adjacent rooms.
Minor observation rather than complaint: at breakfast , it would have been good to have had more fresh fruit available and ' proper' ( as opposed to instant) porridge. Otherwise, our group ( of 4) enjoyed everything about our stay at tge Talardy.
Even though i was only stopping for one night i had a good impression from my stay, the hotel was clean and comfortable, the food was good.
My room was excellent but in an joining building, walking over for food on a wet windy night was a bit of a pain. Don't let that put you off the hotel was good.
