Short stay - friendly hotel
Pros:

The location was chosen because I had an appointment accross the street. Was very handy and very quiet. If I was just wanting a leisurely stay in Edmonton, this is a bit out of the way.

Pros:

It's cute and there are a few things for kids to do. The bed was fairly comfortable asides from the fact that you'll roll into the centre because it's worn down so much.

Cons:

There was mold in the shower, clumps of hair on the ground, and never ending banging and hums from inside the wall (like a dog barking underwater). The hooks for the towels in the bathroom also don't hold the towels (they just slip right off).

We were disappointed to start our day tired after having an uncomfortable sleep.
Pros:

The breakfast was fine and the location was fine. It was close to where we needed to be.

Cons:

We have stayed at this hotel on previous visits to Edmonton and it was good overall. This time both my spouse and I were very uncomfortable sleeping. We woke several times during the night sweating profusely even though the air conditioner was on. Upon checking the next morning, I found the label on the sheets showing 100% polyester. We have stayed in hotels in many places in the world and have never slept on polyester sheets. Cotton sheets are the standard which provide a comfortable sleep. For this reason we will not be staying at Tru Edmonton again. Very disappointing.
