Beyond Excellent
Pros:

The hotel staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Added free breakfast, sent an amazing fruits tray and Ethiopian coffee packet, ungraded our ride to airport to Tesla .

Hotel is very nice ,clean and comfortable.
I would highly recommend airport pick and drop by hotel as it is only $10 per person per way and it is so convenient.
The service similar to uber is called ride and can time to come especially bigger cars if I have suitcases and cars that come are mostly dirty and worn out ( that is just how it is )
So I was so happy I got the Hyatt pick and drop service .
Breakfast has unlimited options .. cappuccino, French press etc and all sorts of hot breakfast items from pancakes to traditional Ethiopian food and MTO eggs .
Also the fresh fruit selection is excellent .

A real top five-star hotel
Pros:

This is a top five-star luxury hotel. The staff all over the hotel (front desk, restaurants) are excellent. The room was large and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Reasonably priced laundry. The departure transfer was well priced and was in a comfortable car.

Cons:

There was a problem with the water in the room (water pressure, hot water slow to come) but it's a problem for the whole city.

Lunch at the Kitchen Restaurant was an absolute delight! The entire staff was warm and attentive, but it was Yalemwork who truly stole the show. Her service was nothing short of exceptional. She's a perfect blend of grace, professionalism, and genuine care. She elevated the entire experience, leaving a lasting impression that was simply unmatched.

Pros:

My first visit was not good due too the smell from the Kitchen Restaurant as it was all in my clothes but I met Genet the Guest relations Manager while I moving to Sheraton she has convinced me to stay back and fixed the issue I thank her for her follow up in resolving the issue immediately and extend my stay. I definitely will be back and recommend too.

Best Guest Satisfaction Service in Addis Ababa.
Pros:

Very thankful of wider team & staff at Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa. Notable names are Henok from Kitchen/Breakfast area, always smiling and very helpful. Chef Hani is simply amazing with his hospitality and kindness, real pleasure to know such person. Front office staff are brilliant, specially Blen, she went above & beyond with her guest service level during check in & Woldemedhin during check out, Big Thanks to them and wider Front Office Team. Special thanks to Antineh for his leadership and valued guest satisfaction, a true leader, and above all, Kerem Suner, a brilliant Hotelier, our stays are also majorly thanks to his hands on approach ensuring guest satisfaction and taking care of frequent travellers and leading hotel brilliantly, I personally extend mega thank to Kerem to make me feel in Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa, Home Away from Home..

All Hype and Not a Good Experience
Pros:

Although it's a nicely designed hotel, I would not stay there as they cater to politicians and will treat you like a prisoner. It felt like we were being watched and every time we took a picture, a staff member came to tell us to stop as "the politician" do not want it. The rooms are tiny to the point that we couldn't open our luggage. Every time we got dropped off by our driver, it was hard to get into the hotel as they give priority to politicians. It's all hype and it doesn't deliver a good experience. For the price you will pay, you are better off at the Sheraton or the Hilton, where the service is excellent for everyone and not just politicians.

I don’t like the open design of the bathroom (I’ve seen this same layout in many “modern” hotels. It takes away from the privacy of its use. Otherwise no complaints.

Overall it is a luxury hotel but missing with the design and small things like cheap towels make the experience not “spoiling” at all. We expected much more
