Loved our stay here! The rooms are nice, the pools are some of the best on Harbor Blvd, and the walk to the parks is a massive perk! Nicole from customer service was lovely as well.

5 mins walk away from the main entrance of the Disney parks… really nice and clean. Our room was huge - almost suite like…
Only noise we heard was the fireworks at Disney every evening which isn’t something to complain about. Our kids loved it.
On site laundry and a shop with the basics you would need.
Room had a large tv and fridge .. bathroom had two basins and was large itself.
Staff were super friendly and helpful.
We loved our time in California and Howard Johnson resort just made it so much nicer..

Would I book it again? Without a doubt if I was to go back I wouldn’t experiment with staying anywhere else.

My grandsons are autistic and not very verbal so they tend to scream a lot and we were at the pool and they were told by lifeguards that if they didn’t stop screaming, we needed to leave. Building 2 was hot and muggy like they don’t run the AC
**Disappointing experience and poor value for money**
Our experience at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground was disappointing for several reasons.
First, we received a message from the hotel that created confusion about the check-out time, even though the information posted inside the room and other published sources indicate that standard check-out is at **11:00 AM**. When we tried to clarify this through Booking, the front desk later told us that questions or clarifications made through Booking “do not count” or are not valid. We found this very unprofessional, especially since Booking was the platform through which we made the reservation.
Another major issue was housekeeping. After spending the entire day at Disneyland, we returned to find that our room had **not been cleaned**, the **used towels had not been replaced**, and the **bed linens had not been changed or refreshed**. For a hotel located so close to Disneyland and charging the rates it does, we expected a much better standard of service.
We were also disappointed by the additional **$25 per day parking charge**, which we found excessive considering the overall cost of the stay. On top of that, our package did **not include breakfast**, making the total price even harder to justify given the level of service provided.
The location near Disneyland is certainly convenient, but in our experience, that advantage did not make up for the poor housekeeping, confusing communication, unsatisfactory front-desk response, and additional charges.
Overall, we found the **value for money to be poor**, and the experience did not meet the standards we expected from a Wyndham-affiliated hotel. Based on our stay, we would not choose this hotel again and would recommend that other travelers carefully review all additional charges and included services before booking.

The biggest positives were the location and convenience. The hotel is very close to Disneyland, which made it easy for our family to get to the parks. The on-site water park was also a nice feature, especially for families with children.
Unfortunately, there were several issues during our stay. Check-in was very inconvenient because the hotel’s system was extremely slow and the staff could not make a room key normally, so they had to collect our information using pen and paper.
The Wi-Fi was also very poor. Videos would constantly buffer, even when trying to watch short YouTube videos.
The bathroom lighting was another issue. The light is controlled by a motion sensor/timer and could shut off while someone was still showering. This was frustrating and could be a potential safety concern, especially when traveling with children.
Housekeeping was also disappointing. We initially had the Do Not Disturb sign up, but after removing it, I called around noon and specifically requested that the room be cleaned. I was told it would be taken care of. However, when we returned around 12:30 AM, the room had still not been cleaned. The night shift was able to provide us with fresh towels, but the requested housekeeping service was never completed.
Construction was ongoing during our stay as well. On the third day, the normal route from Building 2 to the front desk and pool/water park area was closed. There was no advance notice, and we were forced to walk through the parking lot to reach the front of the property and the street. This was particularly inconvenient with children.
Finally, on checkout day, we discovered ants in our car after it had been parked on the hotel property. That was especially concerning and added to an already disappointing experience.
Great Location, only a short distance to Disneyland & CA.
Staff are friendly, hotel is clean and quiet. Rooms are a decent size and beds are very comfortable.

Pool and splash zone are fantastic for families with kids. Small shop on site, could do with more breakfast options (for eg. Fresh Fruit etc.

When we arrived our bathroom floor and bathtub had hair (head and body hair) and the bathtub faucet leaked.
