Increased price from booking and paper thin walls
Pros:

I made the reservation at the Hilton Honors rate of $159. They changed the rate, made it non cancelable, increased the cost to $280. Absolutely a scam hotel.

On check in after arriving from a long flight, I put my things in the closet in the drawers. Then apparently someone with a loud cough or typhoid, checked into the room next door. I could hear them coughing so loudly. It was like they were in the bed with me. I could hear them use the toilet and get sick. I called and asked for a different room because these walls are paper thin. They moved me in the evening after I packed everything up again. I thanked them, however, when I pulled back the sheets to go to bed, there was hair in the bed. Gross super gross. Then on checkout, they changed my rate from $159 for the Hilton Honors rate, of which I am a Hilton Honors member and a Hilton property owner however however they magically changed it to $284!! Absolute scam. I spoke with the desk manager, and they could care less. I stay in Hyatt Hotels and Marriott hotels 200 nights a year and remember well why I avoid Hilton Hotels like the plague. This is an example of a hotel that scams people at every opportunity.

Pros:

Staff (particularly Xavier) were friendly and helpful

Cons:

It's an old hotel. Dark, low ceilings. No smell, but it feels like they used to have smoking rooms. Lobby is weirdly laid out. It feels like they might close it sometime and renovate.

Hilton for the stay
Pros:

Loved the location. Excellent and friendly staff.

Cons:

Maybe some extra staff for breakfast when the hotel is booked. It was a little difficult getting a table and service at breakfast. But, not a big deal

Pros:

Close to everything downtown, clean and comfortable. Staff was nice .

Cons:

My shower curtain rod was bent and loose on the wall ,so when you shut the curtain it all slowly drifted toward the middle. Even after telling staff about it they did nothing about it. They charge you $37.00 a night to self park which i always find ridiculous to pay to park at any hotel since you already pay to stay there.
