Room wasn’t clean, a lot of dust around the furniture, everything is very old and a few things doesn’t work well. No service at the room and very hard to get towels and toilet paper. I won’t use this hotel next time
Extremely disappointing stay. The room was dirty upon arrival, and there was no housekeeping service at all during my visit. I had to go down to the front desk just to get clean towels, since no one ever came to the room.
At check-in, I was hit with a surprise $99 per night “fee” that was never mentioned during booking—completely misleading. To make matters worse, there were bogus dinner and drink charges added to my final bill for items I never ordered, and the front desk staff was unhelpful when I tried to get it resolved.
For the price, this hotel is absolutely not worth it. Poor cleanliness, hidden fees, and terrible customer service — I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
Amazing hotel
What i need to mention is what i cam back after the fist night , i found my room had not been cleaned . When i inquiried at reception they said well you did'nt ask for ... Never seen/heard anything similar in a 3 stars hotel in 45 years of traveling . So it's up to you to do what you need to do with this , but honestly I will never stay again there and will probably make direct reservations from now on on hotel chains I have already experienced . Btw i was promised a discount for my room not done , discount which was not applied. In summary this is a hotel where they probably do not expect customers to come back and they know they will alsways be full because Chicago is a very visited city. Enough said on this bad experience.
Clean room! Large room! Delicious breakfast included!
I had a good experience staying at this hotel, I have stayed here before and have had good experiences. Hotel is quiet, clean, friendly staff and a great location near mag mile. I will stay here again in future trips.
There was a pile of crumbs in the hallway close to the elevator on the floor where our room was that was there the entire four days of our stay, despite the fact that we called it to the attention of both the reception clerk and a maid.

Clean/Big room
We really enjoyed our stay in Chicago at The Chicago Hotel. Check in was really quick and easy. At check in we were handed 6 bottles of water, 2 drink coupons and 2 breakfast coupons which was such a bonus! Our room was extremely comfortable (space wise, pillows and beds!). We were very impressed with how quiet the room was. We didnt hear any noise all night long. We slept great! Waking up after such a great nights sleep to the breakfasts buffet was a treat! The food was great and the dining area was very well attended considering how crowded it was. Our next visit to Chicago will definitely include a stay in the beautiful neighborhood of Gold Coast!
The rooms of the hotel are a bit older but you can tell they do their best to keep them clean. Our tv didn’t work so that was a negative even though maintenance tried to fix it. I appreciated the breakfast coupons for morning buffet and complimentary water bottles too. The best part was the short walk to the lakefront. The worst part was the horrible parking situation.

Check in with Vontae was amazing. He made me feel very welcome! Each day when I saw him he was always great and remembered my name.
The entire vibe here is comfortable. It's nice to be in a neighborhood rather than on a busy and loud road. Restaurant on sight is a treat!
Room and breakfast fantastic!
Location was great! Walking distance to the Red line CTA station, which we took all over town. The free breakfast was restaurant quality, well beyond a typical hotel breakfast. The bar was lively and fun, so the 2 free drinks were a nice plus.
Designer shops in the area. Beach in walking proximity. Beautiful rooftop view.
