We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Parker House noting the history and location was a great asset.
Pros:

We loved the historical significance of the hotel, the excellent location and the wonderful amenities. The staff was very polite and efficient. The two onsite bars and the restaurant for breakfast were all well appointed and excellent.

Cons:

Our only complaint was the size of the room and the lack of a view. Obviously high rise buildings were built next to the original hotel making any view impossible unless on the top floors (higher priced rooms, and public venues).

Not good value for money
Pros:

I liked the staff - they were very friendly and helpful and the check in experience was positive. My room was ready early which I appreciated after a long flight.

Cons:

The alarm went off at 2am. I walked from the 11th floor down to the 4th floor to find out that it was a false alarm. Then as I was falling alseep again, the alarm goes off again with a 3 part announcement to say it's not a fire alarm. Then the next morning, none of the electricity in my room worked.

The room was clean though small and a bit dated, the staff was nice, it's unfortunate that those issues occurred.. and for over $750 a night, I think you would expect more.

Wasn’t What We Expected
Pros:

Great location to Freedom Trail sites and walkability. Friendly staff. Loved the hotel history .

Cons:

Room was very small, bathroom even smaller. Thought the price was way too high for the room size. Guess we paid for location. Fire alarm went off at 2 am and we had to evacuate, lots of nighttime street noise from construction.

Poor, will not stay here when traveling for business again
Cons:

"business centre" provided is an absolute lie. One PC to share among how many guests ? Nearly got into an altercation because one guest was hogging the only PC for over an hour. Asked reception then could they print out a handful of pages and apparently it was against policy or they didn't have the capability.

Also there was stale food left in the fridge in my room upon arrival which caused a smell

A good location but some rooms are poorly laid out
Pros:

The location was perfect for our stay. Right by the Freedom Trail and easy to walk to some lovely bars/restaurants.

Cons:

The bathroom was a ridiculous design. Far too small. The wash basin was far too big and the toilet had no space around it. We had to move furniture around to fit our luggage in the room and the wardrobe door did not open fully meaning the full length mirror on the back of the door was useless. Don’t stay in room 728
