I booked this hotel because it was about 2-3 blocks from Orpheum Theatre. After performance I was looking forward to going back to hotel for snack and nightcap. Both the restaurant and bar called “”last call” at 11 pm, not taking walk-in’s at 10:55 pm. I just missed it.
Therefore, I went to bed hungry and disappointed. I also need to note this was a Friday night, not a weekday night

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
Pros:

Beautiful old hotel in a great location, convenient to the theatre district.

We were given a free upgrade, and our room was very large and comfortable.

We enjoyed dinner at the Parker pub. Hubby recommends the burger.

Cons:

In a few places (the elevators, for instance) the hotel is showing its age. But I do appreciate that the owners haven’t stripped out the ornate woodwork in favor of a cleaner but generic look.

Our 2nd stay there, but didn't like some changes.
Pros:

The bed was comfortable. The general atmosphere of the hotel is very nice, and the location is excellent. We used the nearby PI Alley parking facility to avoid the $70/day +tips valet fee.

Cons:

The bathroom is extremely small, and I consider the design and placement of the sink to be unsafe. It has sharp corners, and was so close to the toilet that it becomes dangerous for any seniors that might use the toilet at night in an unfamiliar room without a nightlight. It could be a little safer if there was a nightlight in the bathroom, as in most hotels we've been in recently. Also, the closet was quite small, and especially difficult for hanging typical winter-wear.

Nie można było domknąć zasuwnych drzwi od łazienki. Stwarzało to dyskomfort.

The nicest stay away from home I've ever experienced
Pros:

I have stayed in many 4 or 5 star hotels over the years traveling for business. This is the first time I have stayed somewhere that was literally perfect. I loved having the keurig in my room, the room was impeccably cleaned each day, never had to ask for anything it was all always there. The front desk staff were above and beyond helpful and kind from giving me directions to making sure I had everything I needed. I actually did not want to leave as I felt right at home. That is never the case for me. The room temperature control was great and the bed very comfy. The location was very conveniently located near all points of interest and the govt center train station. I even enjoyed the fitness center as it was very clean and had a lot of options. The bellman were super helpful and cheery. I stayed during the blizzard and the staff had everything clear and accessible at all times. If I return to Boston I will never stay anywhere else! Thank you for making my 5 day stay absolutely amazing!
