Bliss magic hotel stay 2 minutes walk from Chania old town

Hello, I’m 71 years old and have been travelling the world on a yearly basis for exactly 50 years this year, and I need to tell you just how fabulous the Samaria Hotel in Chania, Crete is. Where do I start.. well, the buffet breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I’ve experienced in all my years of travel, everything from juices, Cretan/Greek pastries, fresh fruits, cheeses, hot English breakfast tastes, and the most sensational unusual breakfast bakes, like New York cheesecake, Pistachio tarts, the list is almost unending..and all made from fresh ingredients onsite. And the staff, just everywhere.. at breakfast, at reception, at the bar, just wherever you meet them, they’re exceptional… I have to make a most special mention to Theodora at the Reception desk at Samaria Hotel, she is simply the very best I have ever encountered at any hotel over my 50 years of travel.. she goes way above and beyond in service delivery, she went the extra mile in finding me in WhatsApp to help me book the most fabulous cruise/ tour to Balos and Gramvousa (stunning by the way), regularly contacting me in WhatsApp to make sure I got to the tour, that I got back, and keeping me updated on the smallest changes to the tour. Thank you Theodora, you are but amazing.. 🤩
And the hotel.. Samaria Hotel is perfectly located on a square just 2 minutes outside Chania’s old town, with a stunning pool, beautifully appointed rooms, with the best service. I know everyone says “I will be back” in these reviews, but I guarantee I’ll be back.. just bliss magic

Un super séjour
Pros:

Nous avons eu la chance d’être surclassés et de profiter d’un penthouse avec vue sur toute la ville !
Toute la chambre était très quali et confortable.
Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est aussi très bon.
Le personnel est très sympa et attentif.
Un hôtel super pour prendre le temps.

Great place to relax and enjoy the Old Town..

Very good far ranging choice of breakfast........ excellent service, Great location for a short 3/4 minute walk into the Old Town and shops, restaurant and harbour

Cons:

Stop people from smoking around the pool... it's a small pool area and just one person smoking is an issue. The access into the pool needs policed as it is often made difficult to use because of nearby sunbeds

Isola bella ,sicura per turisti, prezzi abbordabili..
Pros:

Colazione ottima . Piscina bella e piacevole. Centro fitness pulito .
Molto disponibile lo staff della Reception in particolare la Sigra Despina che ha aiutato per i piccoli problemi e per organizzare tour. Ci è stato prestato ( a costo zero) ombrellone ed asciugamani per spiaggia .
Uno dei migliori hotel che ho frequentato per associazione di efficienza ma anche di empatia e cordialità del personale
