The Square Boutique Hotel

Hotellin vastaanottovirkailija oli hymyilevä ja ystävällinen. Huone on hyvin pieni ilman ainuttakaan tuolia. Huojuva pieni kaappi vie tilaa ja on hyvin epäkäytännöllinen. Parisänky on kapean puoleinen. Parvekkeelta on kiva näkymä aukiolle. Sieltä voi seurata hienosti kaoottista liikennettä. Aamiainen on hyvin vaatimaton. Olimme varanneet huoneen neljäksi yöksi. Toisena päivänä meille ilmoitettiin, että huoneemme menee remonttiin ja meille järjestetään läheltä saman omistajan omistaman hotellin toinen huone. Kävimme katsomassa ikkunattoman huoneen. Valitsimme huoneen, jossa on ikkuna, mutta sen lasi on maalattu valkoiseksi, joten ulos näkee vain avaamalla ikkunan. Huone in kuitenkin normaalikokoinen ja siellä on kaksi nojatuolia ja pieni pöytä.
Uusi huone on hinnaltaan edellistä halvempi. Hinnan eron he korvasivat. Kun kuljimme alun perin varaamamme hotellin editse, niin siellä näkyi olevan asukkaita. Remontti taisi olla pelkkää huijausta.

Good location for the price I paid. Room had no window! Only window was facing to the wall of the next building and covered with shutters. We did not have sense of daytime in this room. Bathroom was super small, shower was leaking, that looked like was an old issue. Breakfast was good, stay were friendly, wi-fi was slow.

I have no idea how this place has a licence to operate, if it does. Avoid under any cost.!!!!

Wonderful hotel for this price point and location. Staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. Room had a great view of Talaat Harb Square, the heart of downtown Cairo and Cairo city life, and was clean. You won’t be disappointed as long as you know what you’re getting into: a boutique hotel in an old historic building located at Talaat Harb Square, the heart of downtown Cairo. If you choose a room with a street view, there will be noise. If you’re looking for something glamorous with five star amenities, this isn’t for you.

Great little hotel in the heart of downtown Cairo! The room was very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful, providing me with tips on what to do in Cairo. They also assisted in calling all my Ubers and negotiating with drivers regarding the price, which was extremely helpful since I don't speak Arabic.

I had a terrible experience of staying in "The Square Boutique Hotel" in Cairo. I booked the double deluxe room with balcony in this property for 06 night stay from 02 -08 November 2024. I confirmed about my room type and availability even after booking and hotel guys confirmed on WhatsApp which I still have the conversation. However when I reached there, reception guy first asked me to do complete payment and then told that my room is not available for 01st night as they need to repair toilet. He shifted me another run down property, not worth what I paid for. I was promised my room next day. But when I reached next day, I was given a different room with only window, no balcony. Reception guy Mohammad kept arguing that I did not book balcony room with lower cost per day. When I confronted him with proofs and their own website details, he came to say sorry that I was right but bathroom is still under repair. But what I found that my room was never under repair. He gave that room to other guest. This was a big scam. You may wonder why I still stayed there. It was because I was there for work and do not have time to go and search. So I just stayed there as location is just on Talaat Harb square, easy to commute. I paid USD 430 for this 06 day stay. first night I was transferred to Grand Palace Hotel where room cost is only USD 27 per night. For the rest of the 05 nights also, I was low cost room. This is a total scam with most of the guest there. They saved USD 150 by doing it.

Not comfortable

Staff were great and very helpful. Mina and Mahmoud come to mind. Great place to stay, very central, only a short walk to the Egyptian museum in Tahrir Square

The location was great and the room is quite comfortable. All the staff were very kind, Isra especially was very helpful. I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

I personally loved everything about my experience at this hotel. For those looking for a quiet stay, this would not be your location due to the heavy traffic outside. This didn’t bother me because I’m a city person.
The outside of the building, walking up the stairs, could use some cleanup since it’s on the street and open to the public. Other than that, the staff was outstanding, the breakfast was lovely, and the room was clean.

Centralt läge men absolut inte nöjd med rummet. Ser bättre ut på bild, trafiken utanför gör att man inte kan sova på nätterna. Badrummet extremt litet. Frukosten var inte alls bra. Fick inte det rummet jag hade bokat.

Had to leave after 1 night .. bathroom was in a poor state as was the water pressure. Then also refused a refund by Expedia as I hadn’t followed the checkout procedure properly. Not very impressed.

Ganska bra hotell, mycket svårt att hitta. Mycket bra läge , nära till allt men svårt att somna, mycket trafik samt personalen pratar intelefonen mycket högt och hela natten.

It was a nice hotel with friendly staff. Good location, walkable.

Excellent place to stay right in the middle of all the action. A little intimidating in the beginning as i had to stay my first night at a sister hotel due to booking error but that place and staff were very nice. After moving to my booked room everything was great. The staff is amazing and super helpful, they made sure everything was taken care of. Special shout out to Muhammed and Heidi.
