Pros:

We had an amazing stay at Kemal’s property! Kemal was incredibly warm and friendly, and it was such a pleasure talking with him. His knowledge and passion for his garden and plants made our visit very special.

The garden itself is absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking view. We loved exploring the huge garden, tasting fresh fruits, and relaxing by the wonderful pool. Birdwatching with binoculars was a real highlight – we saw egrets, parrots, and bee-eaters up close, which was unforgettable.

Overall, we felt very comfortable and welcomed. This was by far the most memorable accommodation we’ve experienced so far, and we would love to stay here again!

Cons:

The room was nice, spacious, and clean. We did notice a bit of a smell from the bathroom due to some dampness, so we kept the door closed. But honestly, this is a common issue is in many places here, and it didn’t affect our stay much. Overall, your place has been by far the nicest accommodation we’ve stayed at so far.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel during our vacation, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm, genuine, and seamless. The manager (Mr. Kamal) works tirelessly to create a welcoming and memorable experience, and it shows in every detail.
The accommodation was immaculate—comfortable, stylish, and thoughtfully designed for relaxation. The property itself is spacious and serene, surrounded by fruit trees and filled with the sounds of nature and the mountains. Waking up to birds chirping and spotting birds in the trees added a magical touch to our mornings.
The culinary experience was a highlight. The Sri Lankan breakfast was bursting with authentic flavors, and the Western dishes were equally delicious. Service throughout was outstanding—friendly staff, prompt attention, and a sincere commitment to making guests feel at home. The well-maintained swimming pool was perfect for our four little children to play in and unwind after a day of exploring.
Located just proximity to Kandy Historical City. This place is ideally situated for adventure and relaxation. It’s very reasonably priced and offers incredible value for the quality of experience.

Cogent Holiday Home is a true gem in Sri Lanka. We loved the peaceful setting, refreshing swimming pool, and the amazing home-cooked meals made with fresh local produce. Beautiful hotel outside of Kandy
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay here. The manager and the cook both went above and beyond to make sure we feel right at home and have everything we need. The location is in a more residential area and has a huge garden and pool. The room offers a stunning view over the beautiful landscape and was very modern with a very clean bathroom, hot water and AC. If you are looking for a very quiet stay outside of Kandy, I highly recommend Cogent Holiday Stay!

Exceptional value for money.
Pros:

Exceptional views of the Hantana mountain range.
Kamal the manager went out of his way to comply with our requests. Lovely peaceful environment. Food was supplied on request and always very tasteful.

Cons:

There was a bad smell in the toilets which the staff tried to repel. But only managed to reduce in intensity.

Beautiful home, excellent hospitality!
Pros:

Beautiful welcome from Kamal, he guided us from the town so we wouldn’t get lost. He made us dinner and a wonderful breakfast. Such amazing hospitality! He even gifted me some fresh and dried pepper that he’d grown himself. Thank you again, I’d love to come visit again next time I’m in Sri Lanka and enjoy the beautiful view from the property and the pool again.
