Charged $100 per day for fees and parking, elevators wait time atleast 15 min every time doesn't matter it's 12 pm and nothing like resort it's a basic motel feeling
Location is good
Air-condition is week and very dusty and not clear for the locations of breakfast and we cant open the window door to seat down outside to see the view because they have construction… we pay for that view but we cant use it
La ubicación, a sólo dos calles de la playa Waikīkī.
Que todos los días, el cuarto al estar cerca del cuarto de almacén de limpieza, nos dejaban el carrito de limpieza casi en la puerta de nuestro cuarto.
Very comfy beds and quiet big rooms. Close to everything and friendly staff.
The breakfast was not amazing, it was ok.
Room was a 5/10, bathroom 3/10 with the shower being extremely small.
Breakfast was great and for the price point the overall experience was 6.5/10
Just a short walk to the beach and main strip.
Breakfast was hot but no variety. Same pineapple and eggs everyday. No potatoes. Parking is $60 and only valet. Not always open. Horrible parking and very expensive but good location near beach. Staff was pleasant and place was pretty clean but dated.
We recently visited from the East Coast for a family trip and had a wonderful experience at the Hyatt House Waikiki. If you are looking for a convenient, comfortable home base in Honolulu, this is it. You truly can’t beat the location. We were within easy walking distance to the beach, shopping, the zoo, aquarium, and plenty of dining options. It made navigating the city with a 6 year old very manageable. For being in the heart of a bustling city, the rooms were surprisingly spacious and very comfortable. We had plenty of room to relax without feeling cramped. The free breakfast is a huge plus. The Hyatt House team members we encountered were professional, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made our stay even better! This hotel is a good balance of convenience and comfort. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Honolulu!
Az elhelyezkedés kiváló. Az ágy nagyon kényelmes volt.
Korai indulás esetén nem lehet a megadott idő előtt étkezést, reggeli csomagot igényelni.
Great location! Everyone is so friendly! The staff is great! The breakfast is wonderful. We stay there every time we come to Oahu!
Great place to stay for many reasons- included breakfast, two blocks from the beach, walkable location, and friendly staff.
Location and breakfast included.
Looked like the hotel was cutting back perks compared to past years. This is partly responsible for notable reduction in Canadian visitors.
The bathroom doesn't have any exhaust fan. The ceiling shows moisture and mold. There is no window or door can be opened get some fresh air. The balcony is severely damaged by the storm or something. These kind of rooms shouldn't be made available until they fix it.
There were different kinds of noise coming from difference sources: traffic, dance music, rooster. It's very disruptive to sleep when staying on the low floor. The balcony should be insulated more.
Friendly and helpful staff, great location, and affordable for my family of 5. The rooms were spacious enough for all of us, and it was a 2 minute walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again!
Over the phone reservations was difficult due to language barrier. Kama’aina rate advertised online but was not applied to us (as Kama’aina). There was also construction we weren’t informed about so didn’t have access to balcony. Hotel staff was friendly and breakfast was decent. However, due to our unresolved rate issue, we will not be staying at another Hyatt hotel.
Staff was very friendly. $60/night parking...$42/night destination fee...Additional fee charged by hotel if you use ubereats or doordash that I didn't know about until the bill...Weed being sold on the street below...Family felt ok on the premises of the hotel...even when the power went out twice during the storm...The pool was freezing...didn't realize that this was the Hyatt without a hottub...then the construction started on the day we were checking out...Still a good place to stay if wanting to be in Waikiki...just the area on side streets felt a little more sketchy...and be prepared for the fine print fees...Wowza
We stayed here with our 3 kids ages 11, 9 and 4. This hotel is just fine if you set your expectations appropriately. Is it a fancy resort- no. Is it clean, comfortable with wonderful staff- yes.
Pros: great location! Short walk to the beach, shopping & the bus stop if you want to avoid renting a car (the parking is hard to find and very expensive). You can buy buss passes at the ABC store right next door. They do have a car rental company in the lobby and you can park overnight (free) in their garage if you rent for more than one night. The rooms were clean & comfortable. The staff is so so helpful & friendly. You get stainless steel water bottles at check in and there are refill stations in the lobby. We LOVED this. You also get access to beach chairs, beach towels and boogie boards as well as a $5 credit daily per room (not per person) to use at the bar or marketplace (use or lose). These amenities are offered as party of your ~ $50/day resort fee (charged at the hotel not as part of your booking) so make sure to take full advantage! The included breakfast is definitely a perk. The offerings rotated daily and it was all kept well stocked.
Cons: like many other reviewers mention the elevators are a situation here. There are 20 floors in this hotel and only 2 elevators. Breakfast is served on the 3rd floor so I’d highly suggest requesting a lower floor and using the stairs. The elevators also require a keycard scan to select a floor and the buttons are only on one side of the elevator. It’s a logistical nightmare. Sadly, I don’t think there’s much they could do to alleviate this con, but just be aware. If you are heading somewhere give yourself 15 min extra for the wait.
The marketplace downstairs to spend your $5 is stocked like a rinky dink vending machine. Skittles, Reeses, a prepackage muffin or two. Some coconut water and juice. You can use it at the bar too, but I wasn’t interested in spending any more time in that lobby in addition to waiting for the elevator.
The pool was clean but very very small. No slides or anything extra. Literally just a pool. Also, it’s located alongside the outdoor breakfast area with no fence or anything around it. So, if you have small curious children you will need to be on full alert during breakfast.
The fitness area was sufficient. One peloton, a couple treadmills, free weights and a cable machine. Bathroom inside the fitness area. Water refill station available & the dreaded cone cups if you forget your water bottle. No towels & no yoga mats. Would be nice & easy to add both of these. There is a door to the breakfast area opposite side of the gym. Many people used the gym as a pass through to breakfast instead of walking around past the pool. The gym is not large so having a constant stream of people walking through who weren’t there to workout was an interesting added obstacle. Better signage when coming off the elevator might help.
Overall, our stay was good!
