it was clean and comfortable and the staff tried hard

Cons:

I’ve stayed in lots of Hyatts worldwide but this wasn’t a real Hyatt. I had booked the Hyatt Regency but cancelled this as Booking.con gave the impression of a better sea view from the Hyatt Place. this was not true.

Pleasant stay!
Pros:

The location is great and not as expensive as some on the beach . Rooms are clean and well stocked, free pool towels, breakfast included and free steel water bottle that’s refillable .

Cons:

Found beds firm but that is a personal preference

Not what I expected
Pros:

The only thing I like about this hotel is the rooms were clean, housekeeping was very attentive and kind hopefully you get a front desk person that likes their job I've been here couple times and I get the same reaction which is no smiles ,feels very unwelcome plus the fees they add on to the already expensive stay it's really not worth staying here. I'm born and raised here and beside housekeeping the quality of services here has been not worth staying at this hotel my family and I love to to take a break from the everyday life and enjoy a mini vacation in Waikiki but this hotel is not worth the stay.

: Serious Security Issue and Very Disappointing Response
Cons:

had a very disappointing experience at this hotel, mainly due to a serious security issue and the way it was handled.

My personal belongings were taken from outside my room within a very short period of time. This included clothing, food, and a valuable bracelet. The total loss is approximately $750 USD. Incidents like this should not happen at a hotel of this standard, and it raises serious concerns about guest safety.

What was even more frustrating was the initial response from the staff. When I first reported the incident, my belongings were questioned as possibly being “trash,” despite clearly being personal items. My concerns were not taken seriously, and I did not feel supported as a guest.

I chose this hotel because I trusted the Hyatt brand, but this experience has significantly damaged that trust. Both the security and the professionalism of the response were far below expectations.

I hope the hotel takes this seriously and improves both its security measures and staff training. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not choose to stay here again.

It was alright
Pros:

The housekeepers and the valet parking attendants they were very friendly and eager to help there was only one valet parking attendant who was very rude to us.

Cons:

Front desk look like they hate their job I'm local here born and raised they never showed the aloha spirit Smile and make everyone feel welcome whether you are from here or not

Great stay in a nice location and good room.
Pros:

Great staff and help. The microwave helped a lot in warming up leftovers and even soups. Having a store next door really helped. Wonderful location.

Cons:

The elevator on the right side facing the road takes forever to arrive.

Very Comfortable Stay
Pros:

This is a very comfortable hotel, with shopping, dining and beach access minutes away. For the most part, it is in very good shape. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. The lanai was advertised as a "city view" but it also provided glimpses of the ocean. Breakfast was both delicious and ample. Staff were warm, friendly and helpful. There is a small bar area with a happy hour from 3-5 every day. Beers were $7, usually $14. We had an order of chicken tenders and fries, which were ample and very yummy. Upon check-in we were given metal water bottles; there were fill stations in multiple locations. The only downsides were a later than expected check-in and a leaking AC unit.

Would stay here again, just not if there is construction going on
Pros:

Room was clean, everything worked well. Staff were all great and very helpful. The location is close and walkable to the beach and ABC store. Towels always available and we got reusable metal water bottles for our stay. Loved the water bottle filling stations. Unfortunately, there was very loud construction noise from a remodel in the floor above. These rooms should not have been booked as the noise was incredibly disruptive. Breakfast is not great and needs a better selection. Would stay here again, just not if there is construction going on.

3 weeks in Paradise.
Pros:

This is an excellent hotel, positioned 5 minutes from Waikiki beach and Honolulu Zoo.
There is free wifi. We had a very large and comfortable bedroom with two double beds, fridge. Large tv with a coffee making machine.
There is a very good and varied breakfast available.
Therr is a swimming pool and gym.
This hotel is well positioned for restaraunts, bars, shops all within walking distance.
Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

No Aloha for Wheelchair users. 👎
Pros:

Not the best for accessibility. The valets park cars on the sidewalk blocking the access for wheelchairs. The elevator to the breakfast area does not operate independently and we could not find anyone to assist us. When we asked the front desk how to get access to the breakfast area, she had no idea how to assist us. The resort fee charges everybody but access is for the able body only. Very sad considering the ADA is almost 40 years old. 👎

Planning to Return to Hyatt Place Waikiki :)
Pros:

Quaint hotel that is centrally located near Tikis Restaurant, the Honolulu Zoo and Waikiki Beach. Excellent breakfast buffet on their 3rd floor patio that is well maintained and replenished frequently. Enjoyed their beach amenities loan service free of charge (eg. Beach chairs). Service desk and luggage team excellent in service with handling our reservations and luggage. Room was clean and functional.

Good location to beach without the price
Pros:

Nice hotel in great location. No free coffee after breakfast thats $6. The birds at breakfast are insane. Need to offer an indoor option. Staff was friendly. Rooms were nice and clean. Overall good experience.
