Hotel is in need of decorating rooms are tired looking. Windows didn’t open but no air-con so was stifling hot. Holes in wall , bathroom shower screen needed sorting as rubber falling off, tape holding wallpaper on behind door. You need code to get discount at carpark but staff member didn’t tell us we had to scan it on arrival and no information to state this so when we left we couldn’t scan it so paid an extra £24 for carpark because they didn’t inform us when we checked in.

The location was excellent for visiting the city. The mattress was comfortable but the headboard needed some cushioning. Breakfast was OK, but nothing special.
The hotel was tired. The windows couldn’t be opened. The cold tap in the bathroom was very loose. There was no soap. The cleaner had missed a few bits of rubbish, cobwebs and dust.

Not clean at all, rooms and public areas. Room 219 was very tired, damaged headboard, threadbare carpet, couldn't open a window. Wi-Fi rubbish

The location was good and the staff where very nice.
As a four star hotel it was not good at all. The rooms were not cleaned and ensuite daily as they should be. Guests were left hanging around the breakfast room counter with no staff on to meet and greet them. The overall experience was not four star. I said this as a highly qualified person in management of staff and hygiene etc. with 32 years experience. The public areas, bar, piano lounge and breakfast room were bright and welcoming but the feeling that the hotel was being wind down came across to all guests we spoke to. We found a number of flys around the inside of the window, badly stained bathroom tiles etc. Cleaning was not being done at all well. Four out of ten.

Location brilliant = mobility parking easy to find around surrounding streets = great value hotel for quality hotel chain =king rooms very spacious = air con =good clean shower = large bath
Only gripe was for the standard double i boʻked for my brother and wife were allocated only a fan for such very hot room = just an unfortunate too hot night
