Location is perfect t for exploring Chester.
Old, run down. Squeaky floors make sleeping hard. The shower was hanging out of the wall, the air con did not work.
Perfect location right in the centre of the city, TV was working perfectly, shower and bath were very good great water pressure and hot water straight away, comfortable enough beds for sleeping 😴, chairs and table in the room was very nice, great WiFi, bathrobes were a nice touch fitted perfectly, iron and hair dryer worked great.
Bed was two singles pushed together seems as how much I paid for the room and the fact it's advertised as a king bed it shouldn't be set at the price it was, air conditioning didn't work it for very warm in the room, toilet took a while to have a proper flush, our key cards for deactivated twice staff was not very apologetic on the first time this happened, people above us were very loud walking around the room, no main light in the bedroom.
The first room we had was very cold. The next room we had had a electric fire 🔥.The breakfast was very good they need a proper coffee machine.The staff were very good. What do you not do evening meals when we whent to the blossoms years ago it was fantastic but now it very bad

The rooms were in a terrible state. Broken lamp plaster peeling off the walls. Light switch not working. No toiletries.
Bar closed at 10.30 so residents returning to the hotel could not get a drink.
Bed was comfortable and breakfast was excellent
Had very noise people in room opposite who has an argument at early hours
Bathroom extractor was shockingly loud
Great character, great staff, great location, rooms were spacious and clean. Staff made it extra personalised and put a card and bottle of wine in our room ready for our arrival . Highly recommend and will definitely stay again
Shower was a bit cold

Room was small, freezing cold. Cracks in ceiling in bedroom.. bathroom was dirty and not kept well at all.. for price of room per night it's quite poorly kept. Children running up and down corridor banging on doors..
Fantastic location, beautiful building, comfortable bed, great staff.

Light fittings busted, not all light bulbs working, bedside lamps wonky and dusty.
Furniture a little battered and worn.
Carpet could do with a clean, alot of stains.
Staff are all.sp friendly and ready to help with a smile. Thats important these days.
Restaurant is closed indefinitely, lift went out of service, if you stay on the far side of the hotel get ready for a great trek. Room is very disjointed with your bathroom downstairs, and kettle and tea facilities hidden in a cupboard downstairs. One half of the bed alright, the other half super soft and lumpy. Honestly thought coming to a 4 star establishment from the 3 star we have come from previously would be an improvement. Other than the staff and location...not particularly impressed.
