We had an excellent stay at SHAQILATH Hotel in Wadi Musa. The hotel is very well located, set on a higher point with a beautiful panoramic view over the city. It offers a spacious parking area, a convenient elevator, and a large restaurant with stunning views.
The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, comfortable, and well furnished. We were personally welcomed by the owner, Mr. Fayez, whose hospitality truly made the difference. He recommended us a fantastic local restaurant with authentic cuisine at very reasonable prices and explained in detail how to organize our visit to Petra so we could fully enjoy it without unnecessary physical strain. He also gave us valuable tactical advice on transportation and how to avoid the crowds.
The personal and genuinely kind attitude was outstanding. Thanks to him, our breakfast was scheduled very early in the morning, allowing us to make the most of our time at Petra. The breakfast itself was more than sufficient and nicely varied. Additionally, for our visit to Petra, the staff prepared takeaway packages with fruits, drinks, and sandwiches, saving us the time and effort of shopping or looking for lunch during the visit. We were extremely satisfied with our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel very close to Petra main gate overlooking Petra valley. Nice view from upper floors. Friendly personnel who gave useful advice on how to visit Petra in the most efficient way.

Very nice hotel, the room was small but beautifully decorated. Just consider that it's on top of a mountain in Petra. Close to the visitor center walking, like 10mins walk using some shortcuts, or a short ride in taxi.
Our friend Andullah was so nice with breakfast! He saw us struggling and gave us a huge banquet...thank you so much for making us try an authentic jordanian breakfast!

The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from the Petra Visitor Center, the entrance to the archaeological site, and the museum. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming — they explained everything clearly and even helped us arrange a taxi to Petra.

The room was spacious, very clean, comfortable, and equipped with air conditioning. Everything was in perfect order, and we had a great experience overall.

But what really stood out was the honesty and kindness of the staff. I accidentally left a sum of money in the room after checking out. The next day, the hotel staff contacted me to let me know and invited me to return to collect it. When I came back, they returned the full amount without hesitation. They even told me that if guests forget things, they’re happy to send them to another country if needed.

The staff at this hotel bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. They allowed early check-in and late check-out. They were extremely helpful by ordering us dinner to be delivered from an off-site restaurant.

Staff are exceptional; specifically Faizel, Remi, and Abdula. They are some of the nicest most helpful hotel staff. There was a language barrier, but not a concern for Translate app.

Rooms are excellent. Functional AC, clean sheets, clean rooms, great panoramic view of the city. Wifi internet was reliable.

The rooftop terrace is where we ate the included average Jordan breakfast. The hard boiled eggs were a nice daily feature. Also there is nice sunset watching from the terrace.

The only bad things were lack of hot water for showers and Avery cramped bathroom sink area and shower area in unit 409. We discussed lack of hot water with Faizal on our 2nd of third days. Unfortunately the water never became hot for showers.

Hotel is an uphill walk, maybe 20 minutes from bus station. The bus station is next to the Petra Museum, which is next to Petra main entrance. Taxis ask between 5-7 JD for the short ride. Some settle on 3JD. Sadly taxis do not use meters in Wadi Musa. In Amman, this taxi fare would be only 1JD.

This hotel is well priced given friendly and helpful staff, and hotel amenities. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if the hot water situation could be resolved.

I got a beautiful and comfy room, really luxury level. The host, Abdullah was amazing, a one-man show of concierge, tour organisator, personal driver and breakfast chef. I highly recommend this hotel, when you are in Petra.
