Clean hotel, nice sized rooms. Very helpful friendly staff. Location is great for exploring Chicago.
Very nice front desk person. Got right in! Super close to buses and the L for getting around the city. $5 all day disposable pass!! Close to McDonald's and Portillos. Close to Walgreens as well. Elevator extremely small and has a mind of its own. Walls are thin and you can hear the TV next door. Lots of city noise....but the beds....love it! Thanks for a nice stay!!
Stayed here for a quick trip into the city, not horrible but was not completely satisfied. Room was overall clean but the halls ways had a very strong smell of smoke & marijuana. The smell came into our room pretty strong especially at night. Had to ask for air freshener but they only gave us Lysol spray, didn’t help much. Again, overall okay place for a quick trip.
Very convenient location to stay during visit Chicago. You can walk everywhere in the downtown, very convenient. Room size was good especially when you are staying with family. Price is very reasonable.
Completely run down. In need of major renovations. Interior hallways smell awful. Pool was out of service. Staff is friendly, but building and rooms below standards.
The location of this hotel is phenomenal - within easy walking distance to the Nordstrom mall and Eataly. The room was clean enough and the bed was comfortable enough. However, a mini-fridge and microwave would've been wonderful. The worst part was the old, smelly, creepy hallways. And I mean, REALLY smelly! However, for the cost and location, I would stay here again.
Amazing the staff and the hotel can't fault it. Great location, the restaurant attached was amazing. Easy to get to any part of chicargo always felt safe
The hotel appears very dated and used. The advertised roof top was in poor condition.
The reservation for the weekend of the Chicago Marathon should have been highlighted at time of reservation as access by car between 6 am and 4 pm on Oct 12 was not allowed.
Wallace, the door man, was a positive acquaintance.
Clean, friendly, close to everything!
Disappointed that we had to pay for daily parking.☹️
Room was clean, room was available before check in, perfect location for the money you pay
The best thing about this hotel was the location. Mc Donald’s flag ship store was across the street. One block away was Target and Wall greens. 2 blocks are a lot of restaurants. Very safe to walk around in day time.
Another one was the ADA room that we stayed for 7 days. The room was clean and spacious. Everything looked new. The fridge is much bigger than the typical mini fridge at other hotel chain. Good lighting.
There was a water station on the right side of the lobby, right before the entrance to the onsite restaurant Pizzeria Ora. No need to go buy water bottles. The front desk did not even bother to disclose this information to the guests. On the first day, we had to walk to Target to buy water. The coffee station had a very good coffee machine that could make different types of coffee. Unfortunately, the hotel only operated it from 6am to 9am. The cut off was too early. They should extend it to 10am or 11am.
The hotel used the onsite restaurant Pizzeria Ora to provide breakfast to hotel guest. choices were very limited. Most people stayed with option 1 or 2. The portion was average. Quality was decent. After 7 days, it was very boring to eat the same things over and over. I missed the buffet style which offers more varieties. I gave 3 star for the onsite restaurant Pizzeria Ora - food and service. Price was expensive. No value. Attendants were cold, having a “you’re not welcome” attitude.
The hotel lobby was not designed for handicapped customers. There were doors that could be opened automatically to let the person in. After that, they were faced with 4 steps of stair to climb up. It was a big hassle for us to go in and out every day. My husband had to carry my heavy walker up and down. We stayed there for 7 days. So, we were up and down the stair at least 20 times. The front desk had only one man in charge. He was busy all the time to be able to offer any help. They had a make shift platform to move people in wheel chair. No one ever offered to use it for me. It was there for show, not for customer to use.
I received a quick thank and acknowledgement from the front desk. No gift bag to a Platinum member like the ones I received at other BW.
Improvement notes:
Please make on ramp entrance to the lobby for handicap access. Offer buffet style breakfast. Tiny and dirty elevator. Extend the coffee machine hour to 10-11am.
Great stay
Everything was fine, and it was a good value my only suggestion that they improve the signage for where elevators are located on the floor. It wasn’t abundantly clear where to find the elevators, but I eventually figured out that if I walked towards the sign that says stairs, an elevator would be nearby.
Room and facility in general is outdated
Really should have more luxury for the price
Room should have a refrigerator
Bathroom toilet did not flush well at all - also outdated
Definitely outdated in the rooms and our bed was sitting on the floor. Great location to walk or uber.
Perfect for our weekend. Close to restaurants and shopping.
The king sized bed was so comfortable! Staff was awesome!
The only good thing was the shopping. Hotel was not worth the money. Halls smelled like a cannabis dispensary, toilet rarely flushed, food in the restaurant...well let's just say the salad was the best part. Excellent staff though.
Nice
