Great hotel with a great staff!
Pros:

I went there to watch the European cup and I had a great stay at this hotel.
The room was clean and exactly as advertised.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with everything. The evening when I arrived, one of the staff followed and showed me a convenience store where I could buy water.
If you go to St Petersburg I recommend this hotel!

A big thank you to all of the great staff at the hotel!

Отель расположен в центре города.очень удобно- рядом метро " обводной канал"
До Московского вокзала 2 станции метро. Номер эконом класса- 2кровати, холодильник, телевизор, раскладной диван,шкаф для одежды, журнальный столик.В номере чисто, ежедневно гель для душа и шампунь. На завтрак-4вида меню: каша, блины 3 шт., Сок, cocиски, омлет, круасан,и т.д. Цена 230 руб. Комплексный обед от 250,с 12.00до16.00. В номере очень тепло, для меня это важно-была с ребенком 8лет. В отеле бесплатная камера хранения багажа.Персонал приветливый, всё подсказывали.

Die Unterkunft entsprach in keiner Weise den Angaben auf der Webseite, ein kleines braun in braun gehaltenes Zimmer zur lärmigen Strassenseite wurde uns zugewiesen, Dusche und Toilette auf dem Flur zur Mitbenutzung... d.h., wir haben uns sofort eine andere Unterkunft gesucht...
Dieses Hotel Esplanade ist eine Zumutung für jeden Gast und ist eine Zumutung...

不推薦入住, 每晚拍蚊子, 被蚊子丁很辛苦!
Pros:

一開始, 女接待員看到我的證件反多次白眼, 說沒有我的預約, 她的英文一點都不懂, 還怪我聽不明白她的說話, 勁反白眼, 沒有禮貌及耐性! 她沒有查清楚就說水沒有訂單, 我拿出電HOTEL.COM 的訂單才說有! 我住了三晚, 每晚我都拍蚊子, 很多蚊子, 連公眾浴室也有兩隻大蚊子, 我聽到隔離房晚上也是拍蚊, 證明我只是一間房的問題, 而且隔音也差, 隔離開電視聲也很大! 不推薦入住, 每晚拍蚊子, 被蚊子丁很辛苦!

4 nights at Hotel Esplanada, St Petersburg Russia
Pros:

The entrance to this hotel is in Obvodniy Channel Street, not on Ligovsky Prospekt as one might think. Check in was easy and the room is OK for the budget traveller. The room was in 6th floor window facing to apartment buildings near. Room was clean and private: toilet and bathroom separately in the room. Breakfast was available in the cafeteria. The hotel staff do not speak English very much, but Google Translator was needed sometimes at the cafeteria. The hotel is near to the bus station and also to the metro. Nearby is a mall with Prisma, various shops and restaurants, Teremok (Russian fast food) for example. The city is huge and now my visit covered only the basics of the sights. Hotel Esplanada was a good choise, recommended.
