The customer service is ON POINT. we loved getting to know the staff at the front desk... so accommodating and hard working.
Perfect location to everything required for my stay. Tour buses, trolleys, walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Comfortable hotel and unmatched location. Local vibe. The ukulele and Hawaiian dancing night on Wednesday was fun and interactive.
Location and value for a Friday stay. Beds were comfortable.
Building was older and it wasn't maintained well. Two elevators but were so small. The one we used to get to our room while we were there could only fit two people with a small suitcase each. Bathroom very small. No place to set personal toiletries. Had to put them on the table in the sleeping area. I booked 2 queen beds and was given one king but they corrected. It is a difficult building to maneuver so the inconvenience of going through the narrow hallways, cutouts in building, etc
I got a studio, and it was very small. The mirror on the bathroom door, was very, damaged. Not with cracks, but with something that made a vision of yourself, pretty much a, Not Able To, kinda thing.
The photos on their website are a misrepresentation of the actual rooms. The hotel is very, very run down. The bed is old, lumpy and uncomfortable. The window screens are ripped. Drapes are dirty. The walkway to the rooms are uninviting, almost scary.
I get that the hotel is old, but it doesn't take much to bring cleanliness and a more inviting environment.
Paint, new screens, wash the drapes, vaccum the carpets would make a huge difference without costing much.
As it is now it's very disgusting. Wifi doesn't work. Talked to front desk and his reason was "it's a old hotel". Clean your grounds/property, it will be remarkably better. Very disappointed. 2* hotel is very generous!

very old place with poor furniture& unsafty door lock privacy.
The staff was very kind. I loved the location it was perfect. Was able to rent beach towels for free. The room was perfect and comfortable for sleeping. Had a lovely stay.
The rooms were a little bit outdated but that did not affect the stay at all.
Great location, 5 min walking from the beach, close to shopping, restaurants.
Room was clean, staff friendly, but not always knew about the area or where to rent the bikes.
The room had an fridge, but a coffee machine and microwave would be nice.
I don't think it costs so much money to add a few details like that to the room.
This place did NOT look anything like photos online, the photos show a very nice kitchen and outside area. Very disappointed!
Nicer kitchen and more supplies
THE PROPERTY HAS ROACHES AND REFUSES TO REFUND WHEN YOU FIND THAT OUT. The desk clerk offered spray and to change my room, we changed rooms and when we pulled back the sheets to lie down they were stained. The hotel is a dirty dump.
DO NOT SPEND A DIME HERE.
Good location, very close to everything. Two of the reception staff could be more friendly. Overall, it was a good stay for one week. I also liked that they were able to store our luggage while we waited for our flight, so we could spend more time in the Waikiki area instead of staying at the airport.
Well-located in the center of Waikiki, next to the beach
My room had no windows and I was affected by the noise outside which never stops in the animated area of Waikiki
My daughter wanted a native hotel to support the local community. Our bedroom was on the corner off an EXTREMELY busy road. Cars and trucks were noisy late into the night and started up again around 5:00 am. The windows were not true windows but lattice windows with cracks to hear all noises. There is no parking available but you needed to go several blocks away to valet but take your car out as often as needed. On a positive note the location is two blocks away from the beach and many restaurants. Checkouts at noon.
Parking was the only challenge. Would be nice if it wasn't expensive or hard to find parking. The distance to the beach was awesome! Good food around and friendly people. The Hula night performance on Wednesday nights was awesome! They were so welcoming and friendly.
