The door code worked, but the panel was black on black, so difficult to see. It was near the airport.
Room wasn’t cleaned well, toilet not only didn’t work properly (stopped flushing properly after the first flush), but they didn’t even bother to find a toilet seat that fit the toilet. So when you sit down, you’re automatically sitting partially on the cold under-rim. Also, they don’t bother to wipe logins, so everyone who stayed there, logged into a service like Netflix, etc. was still logged in. While this is a bonus for those who come later, sucks for those people.

The hotel was dirty, and there was a strong, persistent smell of urine immediately upon entering. I have never stayed in a hotel like this before.
I chose this hotel specifically because its Booking.com listing stated that an airport shuttle service was available. In reality, the hotel has not operated any airport shuttle since 2022. This information is therefore seriously outdated and misleading. Had I known that no shuttle was available, I would not have booked this hotel.
This has the look and feel of a traditional hotel (unlike the "guesthouses" we stayed in at other locations). For us, the location in Keflavik was perfect for the night before our departure. We spent the day exploring Reykjavik, and then made our way to Keflavik. We had a quick trip to the airport the next morning.

It was an excellent location close to boat dock and airport. Next door to museum (not open on Monday).
The listing said there was an elevator however it only went to the 2nd floor not down to the room on the lower floor where my room was. No staff available as it is self check in. Restaurant closed on Monday and no others close by.
A lack of attention to detail in room cleaning. Shower had 3 partial containers of conditioners and no shampoo.
Staff was responsive when communicating via Booking.com. Room was spacious for family of 4.
Was in an odd location. It was in between a restaurant and a museum. There was no staff at the “hotel.” We stayed there for four nights and never got any services like housekeeping. No fresh towels. They gave us 4 bottles of conditioner and no shampoo or body wash.

It was very old and dated . Our room had a broken refrigerator and when I called about the owner told me to unplug it and plug it back in . So our leftovers and soda were hot . The sink was a mini sink and the water bottle was six inches bigger that the whole sink - I called and asked if there were a special place to refill the water bottle and the tea pot - and he told me “” fill a cup in the sink and use that to fill the bottle and tea pot”
Thanks . The tea pot only got to Luke warm and also leaked . Very very old worn out rags for towels . Mismatched and grey . Water pressure good and hot water hot .
The door code worked one out of every 6 or 8 times . Elevator also broken . NO ONE Works there . So - there is no one to ask for help . The TV also didn’t have any Channels - so you have to sign into one of your own streaming services and everyone in the hotel can also see what you are watching . ( thanks to Bill and Maria - who had their you tube open for all to use )
Even though this hotel shows pictures of a breakfast buffet on several websites - there is NO BREAKFAST . The rester-aunt does not open till 11am for lunch . Actually very very nice homey food and soups and drinks !! And the bread was very good and the waitstaff was very good .
