God Bless Chris for being the best Hilton employee out there. Chris was SO incredible and deserves a raise. Alicia was great at check in. Darron made a mean Lemon Drop. Alex the host was great. Chris slayed.
The hotel is big, spacious and bright inside. Easy parking and close by the Saguaro Nat’l Park and hiking. It has an elegant restaurant with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains.
We couldn’t use the pool or hot tub because there we so many kids using them. I can’t blame them because it was hot weather.
The hotel itself is quite beautiful and felt comfortable and safe staying here. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. My room requests were met and was appreciated about that. The room was clean and spacious. I was absolutely in awe with the glass elevator. The bar, gym, and pool were all quite nice. Room service was available which was convenient.
The parking lot was so packed and had to park far away. The guests that were staying next to my room were extremely loud and annoying. Kids were running and yelling through the hallway by 7am which was quite annoying.
Desk crew was OK
The room’s plumbing was not functioning, forcing me to relocate in the middle of the night. The room also smelled strongly of backed‑up sewage.
The room was comfortable/ clean, and the staff was friendly and professional. The lobby exceeded standards.
When booking, the pictures and amenities listed the room as having spa tubs within the rooms; however, that was not the case. This was very misleading especially since that is why I selected this hotel
Location
The coffee shops unwelcoming staff. Hard to find restaurant menu on line had Italian food. Restaurant’s online menu different from at restaurant menu serving pub food. Amenities locations and hours on line incomplete and also had to find.
Comfortable and clean stay. Hotel staff was great. Linda, Katherine and Manger Chris have wonderful customer service skills. We've stayed here before and we would stay here again.
We spoke with Linda at the front desk and she was amazingly helpful with our complicated reservation. We had several rooms that we were paying for some of the nights and she was a pleasure. Very very sweet and very helpful..
She definitely deserves a huge raise..
We spent three nights at the Hilton Tucson East this week, and I found myself thinking about time more than I expected to.
This is the kind of hotel that clearly remembers when it was something. Built in 1987 and, according to a bit of internet research, renovated in 2018, it still carries the outline of what was probably once the place to stay in this part of Tucson. You can see it in the bones. The layout. The scale. The intention.
But time has a way of speaking through details.
Our suite at just over $1,000 for three nights—which, frankly, felt like a bait and switch—told its own quiet story. A ceiling that had sagged and never quite recovered. Leaky faucet in the bathroom. A lighted makeup mirror that didn’t. Wall coverings beginning to let go. A bedroom with a low ceiling that felt less designed than accommodated. A bathroom that required a certain amount of negotiation. And a table in the living area that seemed to exist without explanation, along with the unit that used to house the refrigerator, but featured it and the microwave awkwardly, and haphazardly placed on top.
None of it dramatic. All of it cumulative.
To be fair, the staff here are doing their part. Every staff member we encountered was kind, helpful, and present in a way that’s becoming less common. The breakfast buffet was exactly what you’d expect…no surprises, which, in this case, felt like a small comfort.
But there’s a difference between a place being cared for…and a place being kept up.
At some point during the stay, I noticed the exterior sign outside the top floor was missing a letter. Just one. It didn’t affect anything. But it was hard not to see it as a kind of summary.
I wanted to recommend this hotel. There’s enough here to suggest what it once was. But at this price point, you shouldn’t have to imagine the place it used to be.
Friendly staff
Our suite was weathered, in need of maintenance, and grossly overpriced
Efficient, courteous check-in, well equipped, clean, quiet room. There was an undisclosed $15 fee for parking. NOT valet. Also, it appears their Wifi system does not allow access to progressive social media.
Clara wa super friendly checking me in. Nice hotel all around. I was upgraded to a terrace room which was fun. It was clean hotel.
I planned a Class Reunion. The staff were exceptional!!! I am so grateful to Chris Sapp , who worked with the staff to make this a memorable experience. The chefs were excellent. All positive comments from attendees!!!! I am so glad I picked your hotel for this event. Highly recommend this facility. Thanks CHRIS, BRANDON, BRUCE, MELODY, MADISION AND OTHER WAITSTAFF...THANK YOU!!
I had to leave....food was awesome...comfortable....spacious...clean
One pot out front has been torched with the heat...replacement or move indoors.
We went to Tucson, AZ for an 8 day trip and choose to stay at the Hilton Tucson East location. This hotel is extremely clean, plenty of space, great breakfast, and plenty of parking. The moment we checked into the hotel we were greeted at the front desk by Linda (Mama Hilton). She greeted us with a warm smile and answered questions i had upon check in. She also waived and asked how we were doing every time we saw her.
Breakfast was not included in our rate but is available as an option. However, we ate at the Hotel every morning and the breakfast was fresh scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, choice of bread, yogurt, various fresh fruit cut up daily and several other items. Barrie & Leanne (breakfast servers) were very friendly, They checked on us often and always had our orange juice and coffee filled. I normally eat elsewhere when traveling but these ladies and the fresh breakfast made us choose to come back every morning.
The room I stayed in was a standard two bed Queen room. There was a minifridge, desk, TV, and corner soft chair. The room was comfortable and i assume there their were upgrades available but we did not choose those. There is an outdoor pool onsite but work schedule did not leave us much time to enjoy.
We enjoyed the hotel stay and plan to return again in the future. I was impressed that i reached out to the Chris Sapp , the general manager, to let him know how much his staff made our Hilton stay so memorable.
The pool for the kids.
The room was HOT and the AC would not work. Vent in the bathroom was filthy. Rust spots. Sink was clogged and slow draining.
We had a wonderful time at the Hilton Tucson East. We have been coming here for years. The front desk people are very helpful and nice. At breakfast the servers were friendly. We really enjoyed Barrie as our server.
