Hotel Brovad Masaka

Their guides were appalling when we went on a vacation with them in our group. I will never recommend Hotel Brovad due to their horrible service and staff's terrible attitudes. They also charged us $4000 for their terrible service. Regretfully, I regret having made the reservation; it was the worst experience of my life. I should not have hired them.

Torturous stay. While the rooms were excellent and modern, there was a large party with booming music under my window that kept me up until 2am. Rooms have no air conditioner. So, it was 5-6 hrs of listening to heavy music in a hot room.

Clean rooms, great breakfast and good food

I was in Hotel Brovad Masaka for one night, noted a few things;
1. The big note pinned to the back of the door inside the room warning customers not to leave valuable items in room left unsettled, I almost checked out that night. Screening employees to weed out thieves is hard but its a process and eventually pays off, obviously Brovad is leaving it to the customers to sort themselves. We pay for comfort and security. Hajat pls note and do the needful!
2. A hanging old shower curtain that couldnt prevent water from spilling over, no sandles in room, no bath rugs....... obviously having a shower was messy. These are simple things that are ignored or just not reported. Those who do rounds should note this.
3. The dead phone/intercom in the room with no sign of operation for a while was another....if i needed to call for something in the night, i would have had to look for the phone number online!

We came as group from U.S.A, found him and we didn't know each other by the the time when he was receiving us but we really had a good time. Was here with colleagues, for the second year running, to hold our annual Performance Review meeting. With each year, there is improvement and expansion. I wasn't feeling to well, but the staff were very supportive. Shout out to the team. Mwebale nnyo nnyo nnyini.

Hotels in this area are not western standard. This was considered one of the best but was a 2 star at best. Our room looked like it hadn't been touched in 20 years. Carpet was pulled up, toilet and shower flooded. The outside of the hotel is deceiving. Staff were very nice but service was very slow and food outrageously priced for Uganda. I will say the security and safety were very good.

The hotel is very clean, the staff are very pleasant not to mention the owner Hajjat Kiyimba, she serves with passion, greeting guests one by one and her presence is felt every time during your stay. I will always return to this hotel whenever my journeys Brin me to Masak

Brovad makes one proud to be a munamasaka. The acknowledgement one gets is a reminder of the warm, cultured, peaceful nature of the people known as Banamasaka. It is a clean facility with modern amenities and it's breakfast is a highlight. It was a great weekend with my family...if only weekends were longer. This is the place to be in masaka.

The service was very good and the people working there are very nice and service minded.

Room is spartan, with one plug point. A side lamp (disconnected) that is meant to connect to the plug point but has a short lead which means the lamp is more like a floor lamp. The TV, bar fridge, and anything else you wish to connect has to be done in tandem!! The bathroom included a dish and large plastic containers - no idea what these were for. Water pressure - struggled. Shower facility - basic and with low pressure is simply a trickle. On one day, no hot water

The hotel and the rooms are very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The room also had a lovely balcony looking over the hotel grounds. The complimentary buffet breakfast was also quite good, with real coffee and not instant coffee! A highlight is the gym and the pool.

This hotel is very nice with a full-time hospitality and a breakfast buffet of its own.... all you need. The rooms are very beautiful and modern with flat-tv and telefone. And of course, WiFi is available in the whole area.

Hotel Brovad is synonymous with Masaka town. The owner has a huge presence in the day-to-day running of the hotel, which might explain the smooth running of the hotel.

It has a newer extension which is a lot updated. The older (cheaper) extension is still maintained, but could need a little updating.

The only downside is the huge security warning sign on the door. That scares anyone who needs to relax. I understand you need to ensure your guests are safe, but I have a negative perception towards that.

Guests need to be welcomed and pampered, but not scared off.

Eight friends visited Masaka for a reunion after almost 50 years. The group stayed in this hotel which is located near the entrance of the town. The hotel has two wings which were built at different times. We stayed in the new wing which is nicer was probably built about three years ago.
The rooms were spacious, clean and adequately furnished. The bathrooms were also adequate but not enough towels were supplied which was addressed quickly by the room service. The restaurants and bar were pleasant and comfortable. The food was also authentic Ugandan with a selection of meat and vegetables dishes. The staff were very professional and helpful. Also had privilege to meet the lady owner who was very charming and accommodating to our requests. The location of the hotel is ideal for visiting the town and surrounding area. I would definitely stay here if I visited Masaka again.

EVERYTHING about Hotel Brovad was excellent: the room, the lobby, the grounds, the staff, the meals, the pool, the massage service, everything!

Would I stay here again? I'm looking forward to it!

The only thing to be aware of is that there is no lift, although fairly gentle ramps provide access to the upper floors.

There si no other hotel you would have to consider if its not Hotel Brovad. It has the best amenities that Masaka has to offer. It has a serene envionment and hospitality. Its a top notch hotel away from the noise of Kampala.

The staff were very friendly and coffee shop an unexpected treat. The swimming pool and gym were the main highlight! Room overlooking the pool was very nice (shower could be improved). Very secure. Would stay again

Brovad is exceptionally a great hotel that saw us travelling from Kampala all the way to Masaka, to have our expectations met and so much more. We enjoyed our Conference because all the hotel services were on point...the rooms, food, WiFi, gardens and the hospitality. I can say say on and on, but in a nutshell, I'd like to put it this way...If you want a nice hotel to enjoy yourself and much more, then its called Brovad Hotel.
