Bed wasn’t comfortable
It was a good location close to Disneyland and decent restaurants/ fast foods. There’s also a Best Buy walking distance away in case you need electronics for travel.
Room service completely neglected my room for 3 days until I had to talk to the front desk about the neglect. I asked if room service was included and they said yes, I explained how my room hasn’t been touched for days and we now have no toilet paper or clean towels. There wasn’t even one full roll of toilet paper available when I arrived. Then when room service came afterwards, which took 8 hours after talking to front desk, they didn’t even bother changing out the toilet paper that was all empty nor the towels. What they did was just plop the toilet paper and the towels on the tv stand which was extremely petty. I patiently waited 3 days for service so it’s real lazy/ petty to half ass the job after not caring to do it for days.
After leaving the previous hotel due to unacceptable conditions, I immediately used Booking.com to make a reservation at Hotel Fera Anaheim, a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. After paying for the reservation, I arrived at the property to check in past midnight. At the front desk, I was informed that I could not be checked in because it was past midnight. This restriction was never disclosed during the booking process. I explained that I was not aware of this policy; however, I was told that I would need to pay an additional $250. Despite this, I was still unable to check in until 4:00 a.m.
Booking.com cancellation policy states: “Total cost to cancel: If you cancel, modify the booking, or do not show up, the fee will be the total price of the reservation.” In this case, I did not cancel or fail to show up—I attempted to check in but was denied access by the hotel. Despite having a confirmed reservation, I was still charged for the stay.
As a result, I was left outside in the cold with two toddlers, despite having a confirmed reservation. This was extremely distressing and unacceptable.
I later spoke with Booking.com customer service agent Noureldin E., explained both situations in detail, and requested a full refund. I was informed that a cancellation fee would still apply, which I strongly disagree with. I did not cancel due to personal reasons; in both cases, the hotels failed to provide the services I paid for.
