Por favor Hilton hay que renovar instalaciones los cuartos de baño son de los años 60 muy mal
It is so nice to be in a grand traditional hotel. The lobby was beautiful, and the staff was so responsive and friendly. They were looking for opportunities to upgrade the experience, whether on the phone or via text.
Troy HGV, super informative and great service!! Love his help, can’t say enough good things about him!! Entertaining, charming, great sense of humor. Patient love him!!
I had a good overall experience with this Hilton. Being in a building from the 1920s its decorations are really fancy and definitely shows its history. The rooms were large, mostly clean, and relatively modern (seems to have been refreshed a few years ago). Bed and pillows were pretty comfortable. As is typical of US hotels, no amenities are provided. If you want water, you have to go down to the lobby and ask.
Service was on the whole alright. Housekeeping was a bit slow for me. I requested fresh towels in the morning and by evening it was still not there. Had to call again for them to be delivered. Food from the cafe (I was using the food and beverage credit for breakfast) was very mediocre. You're better off eating in the full-service restaurants or nearby.
Location-wise this hotel is in a great spot. It's only about a 15 minute walking distance to the Field Museum and to the Art Institute. Plenty of restaurants and other attractions nearby, and it's a few minutes walk to the metro.
One thing to note: I was giving a lake view room. Rooms in this direction faces the train tracks so you will definitely hear trains and train whistles. It's not exactly loud, but it is noticeable so if you are a light sleeper than beware.
Carsana H at the front desk was very friendly and made check- in a breeze! She has a great personality!!!
Great location, friendly staff, plenty of train stops and restaurants within walking distance.
Stayed at the Chicago Hilton at the end of January 2026. The weather was below 0° … but Cassarra H. at the front desk was all smiles and attentive and made us feel warm and welcome. She was one of the bright spots during an otherwise very cold and snowy visit.
Also … some people had posted online that the Chicago Hilton charges to hold your baggage if you have a late flight out … But that was not the case. No charge… Just a tip for the baggage handle. Just wanted to make that clear in case other people are wondering.
Aida with HGV was awesome and offered me a great opportunity. Gave me free Hilton honor points. Many beautiful hotels shown.
We absolutely loved this hotel! From the moment we arrived at the curb to walking into our room we had been treated exceptionally. Kind folks like Rufus, Mercy A., and Troy HGV have made our trip so comfortable and welcoming.
