Ended before we were able to even stay.
Cons:

They did not allow us to stay through our booking.com reservation. Staff was rude. Even though we had communicated with the hotel prior to check in and had that email confirmation in front of us. Terrible day. Ruined NYE.

My stay was wonderful at the Chicago Hilton! Great staff all around - check/in, restaurant, lobby - but I want to give a special shout-out to Isabel!! She was the one who helped me with my special parking needs - she checked and said that my U-Haul would not fit in the hotel garage, but she investigated and found a very nearby lot where I could park! Thank you so much, Isabel, for going over and above in your service!! You made my trip much less stressful because of your kindness!!! Employee of the Year!

Great weekend trip
Pros:

Big, clean room with a gorgeous view of the lake! The location can’t be beat. We also really appreciate Cody at the front desk who helped make my husband’s birthday a special one with a room upgrade and for giving us some great recommendations. The hotel is safe and quiet, with friendly and helpful staff.

The Hairy Hilton

Where to begin? What a terrible experience I had at the Hilton. The first room I received was dirty with hair everywhere and an unflused toilet. I requested a second room, which was similarly dirty and had the constant sound of running water (something I would find out was par for the course in the building). By the third room, I realized that hair would unfortunately be a constant companion during my week long stay: coily hair, straight hair, brown, black, red, white... I saw it all and saw it everywhere: on the floor, on the shower curtain, on the sink, on the desk and best of all in my bed (yay...).

Despite requesting housekeeping daily, they did not arrive until I promted them again on the morning of my third day. They did not send someone until after 5pm when I was in the room. When the housekeeper arrived she said she was on her way out the door when they called her to clean my room. She said she could make my bed and refresh the towels, but would not do any additional service. Having lived in a dirty room for 2 days, to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I let her know that I wanted a full cleaning and she said she would add me to the list for tomorrow. As a parting "gift" she said she could at least empty my trash and give me clean towels. When I made way for her to come in the room, she asked if I wouldn't mind just handing her my trash bag so she didn't have to come in. As I walked over to the trash can, I was struck with the inescapable irony of paying to stay in a hotel where I was required to take out the trash. I can take out the trash at my house for free. The housekeeper graciously received my waste, but unfortunately could not locate a replacement bag for the trash. I was offered a used Menards bag, which I politely declined. She passed me a heap of towels as a consolation prize. When I began to use them, they were tattered, filthy with make up stains and nail poish, and—yes, you guessed it—HAIR! As if right on schedule, I received a text from Hilton rep Brad asking how I was enjoying my stay on a scale of 1-5. I responded with a decided "1".

This is not the first time I've encountered issues when staying at a Hilton. I will never again stay at a Hilton and I will advise my friends and family to avoid them as well.

Best weekend stay starts with front desk Sam
Pros:

What an amazing experience from the moment I checked in through checkout. Sam at the Hilton Honors desk was AMAZING and patiently helped me with the 4 different rooms we had reserved, getting them near each other, figuring out situations where guests were arriving later, parking validation and extra requests. The only part that was a bummer what that the equipment in the fitness center was off limits for my 16 year old son who is a high level athlete and in-season, no exceptions made even if an adult would sign off and supervise. The Grand Ballroom is beyond gorgeous - what an amazing venue. Our party of 12 thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.

Worst Hilton I’ve ever experienced
Pros:

One of the worst Hilton hotels I’ve ever experienced. Housekeeping came only once in 5 days and that was after I complained. For this price level you expect a clean hotel where you shouldn’t ask for towel change or new coffee. My worst experience was that even after several complaints the didn’t took care of it. They simply don’t care about customers
