Dirty Motel Hiding Behind the La Quinta Brand
Pros:

The rooms themselves have a decent layout — LVT flooring throughout, a corner sectional with a small side table that's easy enough to reposition if needed. The lawn areas around the property are reasonably kept where grass actually grows. Housekeeping staff, despite a language barrier (I ended up having to mime "hanger" since no one on the cleaning staff spoke English — turns out it's "percha" in Spanish, in case anyone needs it), did track down a hanger for me from another room after mine had none.

Cons:

Let's start with parking: if you drive anything bigger than a pickup, forget it. I tried to get my 2017 Freightliner box truck into the lot and there wasn't even enough room to turn around, let alone park. Zero consideration for commercial vehicles here.

The room itself had issues beyond the cosmetic. One of the bedside lamps had a loose contact — it would turn on by itself every time I sat on the bed and switch off when I stood up. I eventually just turned it off completely so it wouldn't flicker all night. The room has two sets of window coverings: a nearly see-through white curtain that looks more like mosquito netting, and a proper blackout curtain behind it. The problem is guests clearly aren't told about the second one — people just pull the sheer curtain and assume that's it. Walking the dogs around the property at night, I could see straight into other guests' rooms because of this, and ended up keeping my head turned away just to avoid an eyeful that wasn't mine to see.

The floor was flat-out dirty. I tested it myself by wiping it with a damp towel — one pass was enough to turn the towel visibly filthy (photo included). That dirt transferred straight onto my two dogs, who are white. For what we were paying, I expected a clean floor at minimum — and honestly, I never noticed any wet-mopping equipment on the housekeeping carts, which would explain a lot. The LVT also has some cracks — not a huge deal on its own, but frustrating when you're paying full price for a room that isn't in perfect condition. Sitting on the toilet, you get a clear view of grime around the shower's sliding door track and edges, along with worn, damaged molding — the bathroom is simply not well maintained. The comforter is cheap synthetic material with an actual hole in it.

The pet waste station outside was overflowing and completely out of bags for all three days of our stay — thankfully I carry my own.
