Great Four Seasons property. We loved the gym, spa and lobby for tea and coffee. Check in was easy, the room was perfect with a comfy bed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Karen at the concierge desk helped us with a tea for a great spot for lunch and dinner. In a walkable area close to the water. Overall a wonderful hotel.
As it always is with Four Seasons, Chicago did not disappoint. While this was planned months ago to be a romantic couples getaway, it turned out to be a healing experience. We were dealing with grief from losing a loved one. Four Seasons Chicago took away our anxiety the second we walked through the door. Their staff was incredibly warm and accommodating as always. Kudos to Joao. We grabbed a delicious pot of tea while we waited for our room to be ready, the bartender made a fantastic suggestion, although I can’t remember her name! She was fantastic.
The rest of our stay was peaceful. I did not have energy to leave the room, and that didn’t matter. Room service was great, the food was delicious. Eggs benny *chefs kiss*. The burger, phenom. Chocolate Milkshake? Deliciously nostalgic.
Chicago is my hometown, and this Four Seasons felt like home. I’ve learned that of all places to grieve, Four Seasons could be the best place to do so. Luckily, there were plenty moments of joy, brought by the views, their exceptional staff, and kitchen.
I can’t wait to walk back through those doors. Thank you Four Seasons Chicago!
Amazing experience with delightful staff that went out of their way to help. Truly a gem!
Prior to checking in, Karen (Concierge) did a fantastic job assisting with planning my wife’s birthday celebration. From the balloons, cake, roses and wine when we arrived, to scheduling the BEST restaurants for us to dine (within a 2 mile radius of the hotel since it’s winter here in Chicago),the romantic turndown , and arranging our visits to preferred attractions, our experience was top notch!
The doorman, check in (Vincent) , house keeping and Concierge were very hospitable, friendly, polite and helpful! Our room had a view of the beach and city. Usual Four Seasons bedding so we slept well. Definitely a must for any travelers! Lastly, the Uber drivers (BLACK) are either parked outside the hotel and check in and check out so getting here is easy. Plus, using Uber to get around works well.
We could not have enjoyed our stay more! From beginning to end, the service and the attention to detail was unmatched. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff was kind enough to upgrade us and send us a gift. We also ordered from the ice cream cart and while pricey it was definitely worth it for our toddler.
The service was excellent from start to finish; restaurant, front desk, room service, concierge. Kristen Klus was outstanding, she made such a kind and wonderful gesture, greeting my family and I and bringing a special craft to my granddaughters. I have stayed at the hotel a number of times, this was definitely our best visit. The room was amazing and my family thoroughly enjoyed the little staycation I put together with the kind help of Kristen and staff.
Great staff and great experience. Would recommend to anyone.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had an absolutely exceptional experience booking our stay with the Four Seasons Chicago. Leith, who assisted us, went above and beyond—he confirmed and assured us of a room upgrade ahead of our arrival, all over the phone, and he was incredibly helpful even late in the evening. The attention and care he provided give me full confidence in the quality of service we’ll experience in person. Just from this interaction, it’s clear that the team truly prioritizes guests.
I wanted to note this in advance so that when we check in, the staff can see the care and arrangements already made. Leith’s professionalism and willingness to ensure our comfort make this booking effortless, and we’re really looking forward to our stay.

I very seldom write reviews on anything but was so compelled by our experience that I felt I had to. The level of service was out of this world. I am actually upset at the level of service because now I will have to rank every other hotel I stay at against my experience at the Four Seasons Chicago; it truly raised my bar. The food was incredible, we ate both dinner and breakfast the next morning at the hotel restaurant. The room was stunning and amenities were perfection. But the people and the service were so insanely wonderful that I will never hesitate to spend my money at this hotel again and again.
Amazing valentines weekend away. The concierge was ble to get us a last minute reservation (on Valentine’s Day!) at an amazing restaurant. Everything about the experience was top notch.
Everything from pre check in to amenities is first class at the four seasons. Hotel is impeccable and beautiful. The staff is so friendly and respectful, and the in service dining was fantastic. Had a great Valentine’s Day weekend here. It’s expensive but worth it for those special occasions.
I recently stayed at the Four Seasons and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The service was outstanding, and every staff interaction was warm and welcoming. The room was beautifully appointed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Relaxing in the pool and spa and dining were other highlight. Overall, a fantastic experience. I’m already looking forward to returning.
This was an amazing experience from the minute I pulled up to the valet and when I pulled away from the valet.
Top notch customer service. Never been anywhere better. The food, the drinks, the location, the amenities and the people, remarkable.
The atmosphere, quiet and relaxing.
Rooms, top notch, clean and prepared with slippers and a robe waiting for me to get into.
The amount of stuff and hospitality for the price you pay, unvaluable!
Excellent service and attention to detail
A true five-star experience. The staff are warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive--everyone makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable, and the mattress alone is worth mentioning. We ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant and also ordered room service, and every meal was excellent. A wonderful stay from start to finish.
We were touched by a beautiful presentation of fresh berries, artisan chocolates, chocolate cake, and macaroons after mentioning that it was a Valentine’s holiday. Laith, at reception, went out of his way to accommodate and personally assist throughout our stay with warm professionalism. Margarita and staff, were so pleasant, it made us want to linger at breakfast for longer than usual.
My husband and I stay at The Four Seasons in downtown Chicago approximately 4 times a year. We have never been disappointed, only extremely impressed each time.
It starts with the warm and efficient welcome at the valet, the front desk welcoming us back and remembering us.
The common areas are gorgeous, even the hallways, and the rooms are beautifully decorated, and also immaculately clean. And the views are spectacular.
We would never stay anywhere else downtown. We always look forward to our visits. Well done Four Seasons!
We stayed at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago the week before Christmas for a one-night stay, booking through a credit card luxury program that included a room upgrade (if available), resort credit, complimentary breakfast, and a welcome amenity.
At check-in, we were told an upgraded room would be available, but not until around 9 p.m. Since we were traveling with our one-year-old, waiting five hours wasn’t realistic, so we accepted the king lake-view room that we reserved. What was disappointing, however, was that very little information was provided about the benefits included in our booking. Breakfast was briefly mentioned, but there was no walkthrough of the resort credit, welcome amenity, or other inclusions.
Later that evening, after reviewing the paperwork ourselves, we noticed it mentioned a welcome amenity , which had not been delivered. When we asked the front desk, they apologized and promptly sent up a beautiful fruit plate and bottled water, which we appreciated. Still, it would have been nicer if this had been proactively handled or explained at check-in.
The next day, when I went downstairs to clarify questions about the resort credit, the front desk associate assisting me appeared visibly annoyed and distracted. While answering my questions, he repeatedly looked toward other waiting guests as if eager to move on. It made the interaction uncomfortable, to the point where I stopped asking additional questions. At a property of this caliber and price point ($700–$800 per night), guest interactions should feel welcoming, not rushed.
Another missed opportunity was communication about family amenities. It wasn’t until we were checking out that the concierge mentioned they have toys available and even a children’s playroom. Had this been shared at check-in, we absolutely would have taken advantage of it during our stay. Discovering that on the way out was disappointing.
On the positive side, the breakfast restaurant was excellent, our server was wonderful, the lake views were beautiful, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was refined and festive for the holidays. The crib for our son was delivered promptly, and the physical property itself is very nice.
Overall, we had a good stay, but not the elevated, seamless experience we’ve come to expect from Four Seasons. In the past, we’ve had exceptional experiences at other Four Seasons properties, so this visit felt a bit underwhelming by comparison. For context, we stayed at Waldorf Astoria Chicago the previous Christmas season, and the overall experience there felt notably more polished and proactive.
Would we stay again? Maybe we’d give it another chance. But clearer communication of benefits and more attentive front-desk service would have made a significant difference.
Great location and fantastic service. One of the top hotels in Chicago.
From check-in to check-out everything was outstanding. This is a wonderful Hotel in the heart of Chicago. Everyone I came in contact with treated me with a smile and professionalism. My room, the fitness center, the pool and spa were first class. I would highly recommend this hotel and I look forward to returning very soon.
