Handy stay in the centre of Amsterdam.
Pros:

Very convenient location in Damrak, with a great restaurant downstairs, and the breakfast range was very good.

Pros:

Location, location, location! Good area to walk in, close to city center and park. Room was spacious and the view from the room was of the lovely gemeentehuis.
Beds were very comfortable.

Cons:

Staff barely greeted us and did not explain about breakfast, which we had prepaid. I heard the staff member tell the guest who came after us about the site amenities and breakfast. The breakfast was decent but there were some odd things, like one day no egg cups and small spoons and the next day there were, as well as ‘fresh’ orange juice that tasted like orangeade.

well positioned, adequate for sleeping
Pros:

The room was adequate but lacked enough electric outlets and had no USB access.

Cons:

The restaurant was not adequate. For dinner the waiter did not ask my preference for steak and I because Brazilian steak is served rare or medium rare I did not question, but the steak was too well done and there was no Roquefort at all. When after eating it I mentioned it was not very cheesy and he said "oh". Later another customer was served the same meal (by a different waiter) and was asked preference and it arrived with a round of cheese on top. When I asked the waiter he said he noticed that and would ask "his kitchen" then told me that the kitchen erred and that that was the last round of cheese as if somehow I did not get it as it was being saved for someone else. Only after I requested the manager (who did not appear) and some compensation did the waiter comp my dessert.

Guten gelegen, sehr kleines Zimmer mit wenig Platz, Preis viel zu teuer.
Pros:

Das Hotel ist vom Bahnhof aus gut zu erreichen, in einer sehr belebten Hauptstrasse, mit sehr vielen Fussgängern. Das Zimmer hat einen Safe. Die Betten waren sauber und haben sich gut gelegen, man konnte sie ein Stück auseinander schieben. Viele Lampen. Tag und Nacht Rezeption. Das Personal war freundlich.

Cons:

Der Preis mit 1700 Euro für 6 Nächte fand ich viel zu teuer. Das Zimmer ist sehr klein, man hat keine Abstellflächen, der Schrank für 2 Personen ist viel zu schmal um etwas aus den Koffern auszupacken. Es gibt nur einen Stuhl für 2 Personen und keinen Tisch. Im Bad keine Ablageflächen. Der Boden im Bad war schmutzig und mit Haaren. Das Fenster war zum Hinterhof und Tag und Nacht ein Lüftungsgeräusch zu hören.

As fotografias do quarto promovidas no booking nao representam a realidade, o quarto é muito pequeno, a porta da casa de banho abre para fora e nao se consegue abrir toda porque bate na cama...., para alem disso, o quarto é antigo e a necessitar de remodelacao. A questão da limpeza diaria tambem é deficiente, solicitamos por escrito no 2 dias a troca da roupa da cama e simplesmente foi ignorado em todas as 4 noites que ficamos alojados no hotel.... o valor pago não está ajustado ao produto e serviços oferecidos.
Definitivamente, não recomendo, pois proximo tinhamos um hotel de 5 estrelas novo, e com uma pontuacao acima de 9 no booking e so custava mais 50% comparado com este hotel que para mim é no maximo um 3 estrelas.....
